Why Cardi B responded to allegations that she’s an affiliate of a violent street gang after Tekashi 6ix9ine dropped her name in court?

Cardi B just responded to allegations that she’s an affiliate of a violent street gang after Tekashi 6ix9ine dropped her name in court.

The hip-hop community was turned upside down Thursday afternoon when word got out that Tekashi was fingering more celebrities for allegedly being involved in the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, the violent street gang that he was formerly affiliated with.

The first video featured a woman stammering while asking “What? What’s going on?!”

The other video is of Keke Palmer, in a video shot for Vanity Fair where she is unable to recognize a photo of former VP, Dick Cheney.

Along with artist Jim Jones, the rainbow-haired rapper reportedly dropped Cardi B’s name as someone involved … which caught everyone by surprise, including Cardi.

The “Hustlers” star seemingly denied the accusations later in the day when she posted two viral videos with the caption, “Mood.”

“I don’t know who this man is,” Palmer explained, adding, “I mean he could be walking down the street and I wouldn’t know a thing.”

Both of Cardi’s posts have been flooded with reaction from fans, laughing about her response to the gang allegations.

It’s been a rough day for Cardi, as she was also listed behind Nicki Minaj in Forbes’ annual list of “Highest-Paid Hip-Hop Acts” for 2019.

As we reported, After Forbes claimed that Minaj brought in $29 million while Cardi made a mere $28 million, the “Bodak Yellow” took to social media and proclaimed, “Where do Forbes be getting they numbers from cause they way off.”

How Cardi B won a legal battle against her Manager.

Cardi B has scored a victory in her legal battle with a former manager after a judge agreed to seal her taped deposition.

Lawyers representing the rapper’s ex-manager, Klenord ‘Shaft’ Raphael, urged the judge to toss her request for confidentiality, but he agreed the hitmaker’s reputation could be damaged if documents were leaked and sided with Cardi, real name Belcalis Almanzar, on Tuesday (06 Aug 19), according to The Blast.

“The Court concludes that the status of Belcalis Almanzar as a person of public interest, as well as the privacy interest enjoyed by any litigant, strongly counsel in favor of limiting the use of the video version of the deposition,” his ruling read.

“Accordingly, it is hereby ORDERED that the video version of the deposition of Belcalis Almanzar shall be used only for purposes of this litigation and shall not be filed or otherwise disseminated to any member of the public without permission of the Court.”

Shaft sued Cardi B for $10 million (£8.2 million) last year (18), claiming she breached their contract by firing him.

The rap star countersued, accusing him of taking advantage of her and taking “an unreasonable and unconscionable portion of earnings”.

Raphael has also made it clear he wants to quiz Cardi’s father, sister and Offset about his former client’s finances.

Why rapper A$AP Rocky was charged for assault over a fight in Stockholm.

A Swedish prosecutor has charged rapper A$AP Rocky with assault over a fight in Stockholm last month, in a case that’s drawn the attention of fellow recording artists as well as U.S. President Donald Trump.
Rocky, a platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated artist whose real name is Rakim Mayers, has been in custody since July 3 as authorities investigate a fight he was allegedly involved in on June 30 before appearing at a music festival.

Prosecutor Daniel Suneson said in a statement Thursday that he filed charges against the artist and two others “suspected of assault causing actual bodily harm, having come to the conclusion that the events in question constitute a crime and despite claims of self-defense and provocation.”

The three suspects will remain in custody until trial. The Stockholm District Court plans to announce next week when that will take place.

Just spoke to @KanyeWest about his friend A$AP Rocky’s incarceration. I will be calling the very talented Prime Minister of Sweden to see what we can do about helping A$AP Rocky. So many people would like to see this quickly resolved!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 19, 2019

ROC 1

Videos published on social media appear to show a person being violently thrown onto the ground by Rocky, 30. A defense lawyer has said it was self-defense.

Suneson said he reached a different conclusion after studying videos.

“It is worth noting that I have had access to a greater amount of material than that which has previously been available on the internet,” he said.

“In addition to video material, the injured party’s statements have been supported by witness statements.”

Suneson added that there were initially two injured parties in the case, but the allegations concerning one of them were dropped due to “insufficient supporting evidence” and the charges relate to only one alleged victim. That person has not been identified.

A counter-allegation was made by the artist’s bodyguard against one of the alleged victims, but that case was closed earlier this week, the prosecutor said.

Sean “Diddy” Combs, Justin Bieber and Kris Jenner are some of the celebrities who have publicly expressed support for Rocky.

The platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated artist has collaborated with Kendrick Lamar, Cardi B, Drake and Selena Gomez.

On Saturday, Trump said he spoke with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven about A$AP Rocky and “offered to personally vouch for his bail,” something that is not available under Swedish law.

Urged on by the first lady and celebrities including Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West, the president had said in a Friday tweet that he would intervene to try to free Rocky.

Lofven’s press secretary, Toni Eriksson, later said that the two leaders had a “friendly and respectful” conversation in which Lofven “made certain to emphasize the complete independence of the Swedish judicial system, prosecutors and courts” and stressed that the government cannot and will not attempt to influence the legal proceedings.

How Cardi B gets new tattoo.

Cardi B and Offset’s marriage appears to be better than ever.

Days after celebrating their daughter’s first birthday, Offset took to Instagram to show off his wife’s new tattoo. And let’s just say, it’s in a pretty unconventional place.

The Migos rapper posted a screenshot of a FaceTime session with Cardi. In the picture, she lifts up her left leg to reveal “Offset” inked in script on the back of her thigh.

“CANT WAIT TO GET HOME,” he captioned the image Sunday, adding tongue emojis.

Cardi is not the only one with tribute ink. Offset debuted a tattoo with his wife’s name on his neck under a picture of Buttercup from “The Powerpuff Girls” in January 2018.

Cardi B, 26, and Offset, 27, secretly tied the knot in September 2017 before welcoming daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus on July 10, 2018.

The rapping duo’s highly publicized relationship hasn’t been all smooth sailing. Their marriage was rocked by infidelity rumors last year, with Cardi announcing their split in December. The couple appeared to reconcile in February after attending the Grammys and releasing a new song together.

But, based on Cardi’s declaration of love via permanent ink, all the drama appears to be gone.

How Cardi B Celebrated her daughters’ first year birthday lavishly.

Cardi B threw her daughter a first birthday party to remember!
On Saturday night, the 26-year-old rapper threw a lavish bash for her daughter, Kulture, who celebrated her first birthday earlier this month. For the special occasion, Kulture and Cardi rocked coordinating colorful Moschino looks, with Kulture sporting a purple, green, pink and yellow tutu and Cardi opting for a figure-hugging yellow, green and pink dress.

In a sweet pic shared to Instagram, Cardi’s high-fiving her little girl as Offset, Cardi’s husband and Kulture’s dad, holds the tot. In the background of the photo, fans get a peek inside Kulture’s party, which featured colorful cupcakes, cake pops and candy apples.

“This the only good picture I can find with me and my baby matching outfit.😩😂😂,” Cardi captioned the shot. “Thank @itsjeremyscott @moschino for this beautiful custom outfits. I swear I really, really was [trying] to get a good pic 😩😩”

Though the party appeared picture-perfect in the snap, there was actually quite a set-back to the epic soiree — the New York City blackout that rocked the west side of Manhattan on Saturday.

“Hi guys! So I just want to say thank y’all so much for coming to Kulture’s birthday party ’cause it was y’all that made it lit. It was so lit… Let me tell y’all something. Y’all made it lit because the fact that when I got there the lights went off in the party, it was, like, a whole hour with no lights, no music, but it was still lit,” Cardi said in an Instagram video. “And then when we got a power generator to turn the music and some lights on, it got lit again. But with no air conditioner, so we was literally melting, but people was still dancing, having fun.”

“And then the lights came completely back on, but then they came right back off when we was about to cut the cake. And then they cut the lights back on and nobody wanted to leave,” she continued. “And it’s ’cause of y’all. And it was such a fun party. Thank you so much.”

In the caption of the video, Cardi lamented her luck that the blackout took place during her daughter’s party, but celebrated how much fun they had despite the fact.

“The fact that I wanted my daughter party in 42nd street instead of Jersey and to my f**king luck New York had a power outage right on that Deum area!! B**CH THE DEVIL! 😒😒😒😒😒but WOW how a negative situation turn into a LITUATION !!!” Cardi wrote. “Omg I had soooooo much f**kin fun and my daughter as well.”

“Thank ya sooo much everybody that came, I know my daughter won’t remember this day but when she older and have her kids this will be a good story to tell lols,” she added. “I will be daydream this day for ma long ❤️❤️❤️❤️. OK I’m exhausted, nobody hit me till like 2pm😩.”

Prior to the party, both Cardi and Offset shared pics of Kulture in celebration of her first birthday.

ET’s Lauren Zima caught up with Offset at the 2019 ESPY awards, where he teased his and Cardi’s plans for Kulture’s big day.

“I’m flying out there to New York right after I leave here. We got a big party this weekend, on Saturday,” he said. “You just gotta see, it’s gonna be everywhere. It’s gonna be a big, big, big, big, big party, though.”

“It’s our first child together, so it’s a big celebration,” Offset, who is also the father of sons Jordan and Kody and daughter Kalea from earlier relationships, added.

“Not guilty sir; honor,” “I ain’t going to jail, I got a daughter!”–Cardi B

Rap superstar Cardi B on Tuesday pleaded not guilty to attempted assault charges including two felonies filed in connection with her alleged involvement in a New York strip club brawl.

“Not guilty sir; honor,” the 26-year-old artist said before a packed courtroom in Queens, looking swank in a fitted, low-cut navy blue and baby pink double-breasted pant suit and razor-sharp straight blue-hued bob.

The brash rapper appeared calm throughout the proceedings, her hands clasped behind her back, showing her talon-esque hot pink nail extensions to the room.

The arraignment came days after a grand jury indicted Cardi B in connection to the incident, with court documents showing 14 counts including two felonies against the rap superstar.

On August 29, 2018, Cardi B was in the Angels Strip Club in Queens when her group reportedly lobbed bottles, chairs and a hookah pipe, which police said bruised a female employee’s legs.

Cardi B allegedly ordered an attack on two sisters working at the club because one of them slept with her husband, the rapper Offset.

Initially facing only misdemeanor charges, the Bronx rapper in April rejected a plea deal from the Queens district attorney’s office.

That offer would have given the Grammy winner a conditional discharge if she pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor.

The revamped charges include two felony counts of attempted assault with intent to cause serious physical injury, according to the case docket.

The order of protection preventing Cardi B from returning to the scene of the incident or communicating with the alleged victims was extended for one year, a condition of her parole.

Upon leaving the courtroom the rap star smiled and waved, blowing a kiss to a throng of journalists and onlookers.

‘Ain’t going to jail’

But over the weekend she took on bolder airs, suddenly dropping an expletive and exclaiming: “I ain’t going to jail, I got a daughter!” while performing in Los Angeles, a frank reaction not out of character for the off-the-cuff star.

“We don’t believe that the indictment changes anything,” her lawyer Jeff Kern told journalists outside the courthouse. “We understood that it was a possibility.”

The rapper has also invited Drew Findling — the so-called #BillionDollarLawyer who has made a name for himself representing hip-hop stars in Atlanta, Georgia, the de-facto capital of rap — to join her legal team.

“I know Cardi; I know Cardi on a personal level,” he said. “I know Cardi as a wife, as a mother, as a daughter, as a sister. I know Cardi to be a decent and kind human being.”

“We have no doubt that when all is said and done, there will be a positive outcome in favor of Cardi.”

There are two co-defendants in the case alongside the rapper, both of whom also pleaded not guilty.

Born Belcalis Almanzar to a Dominican father and Trinidadian mother, Cardi B’s meteoric rise began during her days as a stripper, when she carved out a social media personality on platforms including Instagram.

After becoming the first female solo artist to win the Grammy award for Rap Album of the Year, over the weekend Cardi B topped this year’s Black Entertainment Television Awards, taking home prizes for Album of the Year and Best Female Hip-Hop Artist.

Just after the arraignment the intensely scrutinized rap star announced on Twitter the Wednesday release of her music video for her latest hit “Press,” in which she voices exasperation with the media.

“Perdue Chickens can never talk (expletive) about queens,” Minaj says, referring to herself as royalty.

There’s no truce in the Nicki Minaj-Miley Cyrus word wars.

In a new episode of her “Queen Radio” show Friday, Minaj dismissed her fellow music star as a “Perdue chicken” as part of a back-and-forth feud that goes back to 2015.

“Perdue Chickens can never talk (expletive) about queens,” Minaj says, referring to herself as royalty. “But I do notice a lot of Perdue chickens have been trying to say the queen’s name for clout. And that’s always been happening. And that’s what (Cyrus) did in the first place. And the white girl cry and made the black girl seem like she was a bad guy… She disrespected me in a magazine article for no reason.”

In the process, Minaj also threw a crude accusation at Cyrus.

Minaj’s slam comes a few weeks after fans questioned whether Cyrus was throwing shade in her new song “Cattitude,” with the lyric: “I love you Nicki, but I listen to Cardi.” (Minaj and rap rival Cardi B got into an infamous brawl at a New York Fashion Week party in September.)

Cyrus clarified the lyrics on Roman Kemp’s Capital Breakfast radio show, saying there is no beef anymore, according to complex.com.

“They’re both queens. And anytime you want to feel powerful and strong, that’s my go-to: Cardi and Nicki,” Cyrus said on the radio show, according to People.com.

Nevertheless, fans looked back to the start of the beef between Cyrus and Minaj in 2015, which opened with Cyrus taking Taylor Swift’s side vs. Minaj in a New York Times interview, according to billboard.com. Minaj responded tartly in person days later at the VMA Awards, saying host Cyrus “had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what’s good?”

Minaj shared some personal news, too, during the radio show. She started riffing about pregnancy, before saying she wasn’t, “but we did get our marriage license,” she said, referring to boyfriend Kenneth Petty.

She continued, explaining she’s in a good place.

“I think I have what I was striving for, just happiness. It was so hard to get to a happy place. Now that I’m there I don’t want to compromise that for anyone or anything. Certain traveling things I don’t (want to) do it. I’m just enjoying my downtime.”

“I ain’t going to jail”—Cardi B

Cardi B isn’t letting an indictment get her down.

During her performance at the 2019 BET Experience on Saturday, the 26-year-old rapper took a moment in between songs to proclaim “I ain’t going to jail” multiple times.

Wearing a sparkly purple look, complete with matching gloves and shoes, as well as fishnet tights, the crowd cheered as Cardi energetically repeated the phrase.

— #BETMusic (@BETMusic) June 23, 2019
Cardi’s proclamation follows her Friday indictment by a grand jury in Queens, New York, for misdemeanor charges stemming from an altercation at a strip club in August 2018.

Though the specific charges in the indictment are sealed until her arraignment on Tuesday, June 25, when Cardi was initially arrested in October she was charged with two misdemeanors, assault and reckless endangerment.

The incident occurred at the Angels Strip Club in Queens, when the “I Like It” rapper and nine members of her entourage allegedly threw chairs, bottles and a hookah pipe towards bartenders, two of whom were said to be injured.

According to legal documents obtained by ET, one bartender claimed that one of the drinks allegedly thrown by a member of Cardi’s group landed on her face, resulting in burning, itching and temporary blindness in her eyes.

Cardi rejected a plea offer from the Queen’s D.A. in April, and her lawyer has claimed she didn’t injure anyone during the incident.

”I do whatever the f**k I want to do with my body—Cardi B

Cardi B has claimed she is done with surgery after her recent liposuction.

The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker – who gave birth to her daughter Kulture 11 months ago – postponed a series of concerts in May when she realised she had been ”overzealous” in trying to head back to work straight after having undergone the cosmetic surgery to help her regain her pre-pregnancy body.

Now she has returned to the gym and admitted she doesn’t want to go under the knife again.

She tweeted: ”I been working out for the past 2 weeks cause bitch I ain’t getting surgery again but let me tell you I haven’t got a headache ever since.”

The ‘Please Me’ hitmaker recently slammed her critics who hit out at her for the decision to axe her gigs and said she can ”do whatever the f**k” she wants with her body.

On an Instagram Live video, she said: ”I do whatever the f**k I want to do with my body, I don’t have the time of day like you do. My job as an entertainer is a 24-hour job, bro. So no, I don’t have time to work out. I wanted specific things that I know that no matter how much I work out won’t get fixed.”

Cardi, 26, also said she ”hates” cancelling shows because she never wants to miss out on the pay cheque attached to her work, but knew it was the right thing to do for the sake of her health.

She added: ”I hate cancelling shows because I love money. I’m a money addict. I get paid a lot of money, a lot of money for these shows. A lot of money. I’m cancelling millions of dollars in shows, but health is wealth so I have to do what I have to do.”

In a statement from her representatives earlier this month, it was confirmed she would be axing all her shows that were planned for May, in an attempt to give her time to recover from her surgery.

The message read: ”Cardi was overzealous in getting back to work, she didn’t take the time necessary to fully recover from her surgery. Her strenuous schedule has taken a toll on her body and she has been given strict doctors orders to pull out of the rest of her performances in May.

”She’s very disappointed as she hates to let her fans down. She reassures them that she will see them in September.”

Why Cardi B cancelled show?

Cardi B wants people to know that she can do whatever she wants with her body.

The 26-year-old rapper took to Instagram Live this week to respond to backlash that she was “lazy” for getting plastic surgery and canceling shows.

“[People tell me], ‘You lazy, you should just workout.’ I do whatever the f**k I want to do with my body,” she said in her video. “I don’t have the time of day like you do. Like, my job as an entertainer is a 24-hour job, bro. So no, I don’t have time to work out and I wanted specific things that I know that no matter how much I work out, is not get fixed.”

“Like my bbs, no matter how much I work out, they were not gonna lift themselves,” she continued, emphasizing, “So yeah, I had to get fking surgery.”

Earlier this week, the “I Like It” rap star announced that she was postponing shows due to ongoing recovery from surgeries she underwent. In her Instagram Live, she further explained that her doctor advised her to rest because she as not fully healed.

While her recovery was costing her “millions of dollars,” Cardi explained that at a point “health is wealth” and she has to take time off.

“You know, I hate canceling shows because I love money. I’m a money addict,” Cardi said. “And I get paid a lot of money, a lot of money for these shows. A lot of money. I’m canceling millions of dollars in shows, but like, health is wealth so I have to do what I have to do.”

ET recently sat down with Cardi, where she revealed that she underwent cosmetic breast surgery because giving birth to her daughter, Kulture, “f**ked me up.”

“I just got my b**bs redone,” Cardi, 26, said. “I feel good, but then sometimes I feel, like, not, you know? [When] your skin is stretched out.”

She also told an audience she shouldn’t be performing due to recent liposuction. “I should’ve canceled today because moving too much is gonna fk up my lipo,” she told the crowd at the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, Tennessee. “But, bch, I’m still gonna get this mother f**king money back, let’s go!”

She later told ET that she felt it was important to talk publicly about her surgery so that people were more aware of the harsh realities of recovery.

Watch Offset and Cardi B Flex Their Star Power in ‘Clout’ Video

Offset released the steamy new video for “Clout” Wednesday, featuring Cardi B. The track, which features on the Migos rapper’s solo LP Father of 4, is the hip-hop couple’s first collaboration since their guest verses on Lil Yachty’s “Who Want the Smoke?” last July.

Decked out almost entirely in yellow and black, the “Clout” video shows Offset rapping against a chamber of mirrors and flexing in front of a giant fan. Cardi B appears halfway through to deliver a verse while grinding atop of Offset and – keeping with the yellow theme – inside a mountain of lemons.

“Clout” is Offset and Cardi B’s fifth song together overall, after “Who Want the Smoke?”, “Drip,” “MotorSport,” and “Lick.” Cardi B recently performed “Taki Taki” at DJ Snake’s Coachella set, alongside Ozuna and Selena Gomez. Offset most recently featured on the DaBaby track “Baby Sitter,” and guest-starred in the video alongside the rising North Carolina rapper.

Cardi B admits motherhood is much harder than she expected and she worries Kulture will forget her when rapper jets off for work

She’s the dotting mom to eight-month-old Kulture Kiari – whom she shares with husband, Offset.

And Cardi B has now opened up about the hard reality of motherhood, confessing it was more difficult than she thought.

Speaking at the Beautycon Festival in New York City over the weekend, the 26-year-old beauty said she was worried with all her traveling that her daughter will forget her.

‘It’s very hard. It’s like the hardest challenge ever. I don’t even like talking about it. I really don’t like talking about it because it’s, like, very hard,’ she began.
‘For example, I haven’t seen my baby now in two days because I was in Vegas, now I’m here. And it’s just hard because I be like, “damn, will she forget about me, like, in two days?”‘

The Bodak Yellow rapper went on to explain that she thought she’d just get a nanny and have her daughter fly around the world with her.

‘When I was pregnant, I used to be like, it’s gonna be easy. I’m just gonna hire a nanny and my baby’s gonna come with me everywhere. But it’s like once you have the baby, it’s hard to get a nanny because you don’t trust nobody with your kid!’

She continued to praise her mom and sister for helping out with her daughter but said it’s too much for her mom to go from city to city within 72 hours.

‘On top of that, me and her dad, we’re always in different places. Like I used to think, “oh we gonna be in this house in Atlanta, big this, big that”, but we haven’t even been in our house for, like, two months!

But it wasn’t all bad with Cardi explain the upside was that Kulture was ‘gonna have a lambo when she be like 18.’

The I Like It hit-maker earlier shared a split photo of Kulture and her sister Hennessy Carolina as a baby.

‘Bro this is weird i gave birth to another Hennessy,’ she captioned.

Cardi shares Kulture with her on-and-off husband, Offset.

Miley Cyrus to replace Cardi B at Primavera Sound festival

Miley Cyrus has been drafted in to replace Cardi B at Spain’s Primavera Sound festival.

Cardi was due to perform at the event, taking place at Barcelona’s Parc del Forum waterfront complex on 31 May (19), but the rapper has pulled out due to unavoidable promotional commitments in the United States, and organisers announced on Friday (04Apr19) that Miley has stepped in.

“Primavera Sound welcomes Miley Cyrus, an icon of contemporary pop in all its dimensions,” a statement reads.

“The author of Bangerz doesn’t need an introduction but a bit of contextualisation may help: from country to urban pop passing through her psychedelic experimentation with The Flaming Lips, Ms Cyrus has positioned herself as one of the most non-conformist voices of the current star system, while also contributing to the gender discourse that makes her a perfect fit for the year of The New Normal at Primavera Sound.”

Explaining Cardi’s absence, the festival organisers added: “At the same time, we regret to announce that Cardi B will not perform at Primavera Sound 2019. The American artist has cancelled her appearance due to promotional commitments in the United States that cannot be postponed.”

Ticketholders disappointed to miss out on seeing Cardi have been offered refunds.

Miley joins the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen, Janelle Monae, and Robyn, who will perform on the Friday night at the weekend event. Solange, Tame Impala, and Charli XCX are also on the bill, which runs from 30 May to 1 June.

Meanwhile, Miley has booked another big European festival after confirming she’ll be performing at England’s Glastonbury festival in June (19).
