ENTERTAINMENT GIST: MISS ADAMAWA EMERGES AS THE 41ST MISS NIGERIA. —(2 MINUTES READ).

In a post published by Nsikak Nseyen on 22nd of December 2017 on dailypost.ng.

Mildred Ehiguese,Miss Adamawa has emerged as the winner of the 2017 edition of Miss Nigeria beauty contest.

She beats other 35 contestants to the crown ,emerging the 41st Miss Nigeria.

Ehiguese emerged as the new queen at the beauty peagent held at the Eko Hotel and Suites Victoria Island,Lagos on Friday.

The Delta State representative,Rita Chinedu,emerged the first runner-up while Miss Ogun,Tolulope Ayanfalu Mary,was the second runner-up.

DEATH AT SEA.–(6 Minutes Read).

The publication was originally presented on my facebook page on the 8th of November 2917 and I believe it will serve a purpose of informing my avid readers, viewers and followers.

It goes thus:

The recent publications about casualties recorded at the Mediterrenean Sea that engulfed every media space in which about twenty-six Nigerian women or ladies lost their lifes is quite appalling, disheartning and disappointing.

It can be concluded to be result of a society that has lost her values in all ramifications thereby making her inhabitants and occupants to start looking for solutions desperately even at the expense of their lifes.

Our society in this part of the world is a society that has her consciousness and sensitivity platformed on some ideologies and philosophies that are quite suicidal in all facet sicne the idealogies and philosophies are premised on the fact that critical and desperate situations warrant critical and desperate solution, a kind of belief that trigger and spur the superiority of extremism over existentialism.

There are some sorts of creed that makes the essence of existentialism to be subjected to extremism thereby making existentialism to be inferior in all ramification.Hence, many prefer the concept of extremism to existentialism even if it warrants putting their lifes on the line.

Our society has made some people to believe in the worship of god of mammon whereby you are waht you are based on the financial status quo you are known for.Hence, everybody struggle and strife immensely without giving a damn about whose ox is gored to accummulate properties and acquire wealth at the expense of their lifes and that of the next person around them.

Hence, they become hell bent in search of greene pasturesby embarking on a suicide mission to Europe through the desert and through the sea.

Many arguments are on course now about Nigeria government being indifferent to the news of these ladies that lost their lifes.I wonder why we keep blaming Nigeria government on this without subjecting the issue at hand to root cause analysis that will proffer meaningful solutions to this issue this menace that is eating deep the fabrics of Nigerian society.

Day-in-day-out, there have been a lot of jingles sponsored by the National Orientation Agency NOA warning desperate and innocent Nigerians on the dangers of embarking on a self-destructive journey into Europe through desert and through the sea but we can see that many of us have allowed our reasoning to become blur by our inordinate quest for wealth and materialism at all cost.

Since they are all ladies and their corpses were discovered close to Italy, it can be concluded that they are on a journey to add to the census and statistics of prostitution netwiork and drug trafficking cartel in Italy but their hope was dashed and varnished into thin air in the middle of the high sea.

It is pertinent for the Nigerian society to be subjested to treatment and sensitization against the evil of inordinate quest for materilaism and wealth.

Any society that glorify and grandeurises money and all its offers will end up trading and mortgaging her future for money accompanied with the loss of lifes of her young who are believed to be leaders of tommorrow.

A progressive society has her yopung ones weeping for the death of the old but a retrogressive society that is hell bent on wealth and material acquisition at all cost will have the old weeping for the death of the young ones.

Such society can be asserted to have a bleak future.

What makes a bad society is when the elders in such society are busy doing nothing in checkmating the extreme desire of the younger generation for money and gold.

They ended up loosing their lifes in search of greener pastures because they forget that the pastures are always green anywhere in the world even in the desrt but time and season for pastures becoming green differs from each other.

Therefore,it is seasonal.

It is when the millenia understand the concept of time and season as it affects life that they will stop embarking on an endeavour that will take their lifes or soil their image.

The Nigeria Government shoild engage more stringent measures to curtail and nib in the bud the cartel of human trafficking that are orchestrating the illegal exodus of Nigerian youth into the heart of Europe in order to facilitate their illicit and dirty businesses that have to do with prostitution, drug trafficking and human trafficking.

The Nigeria borders are known to be porous and permissible, and this has made this illegal trade of human beings so easy in this part of the world.Presently, there should be an arm of our security agencies and parameters that will be empowered constitutionally to trail and burst this anti-social organisation that is feeding fat on the innocence of desperate Nigerians.

In the meantime, all media spacies were awashed with news of the burial conducted on the 17th nopf November 2017 by the Italian Government with the news of the burial becoming an International headlines.The results of the autopsies have being confirmed that the girls likely drowned,according to the Guardian.

‘There were no signs that they had been raped or physically abused’ a medic who worked on the postmortem examinations of the bodies said.”They most likely couldn’t swim”.

All but two of the girls found remain nameless.The two young women authoritioes were able to identify were pregnant,Reuters reported.

Marian Shaka,was named by her husband, and Osato Osaro, was identified by her brother who had been in the boat with her according to CNN.

In the meantime, the effort of Italian Government for giving them a befitting burial is appreciated and recognised eventhough Nigeria Government didnt see any reason in being represented in the burial of her citizen that lost their lifes.

THE WRONG MOTIVE–EPISODE NINE.—(20 MINUTES READ).

CHAPTER ONE.

It was a cool Wednesday morning that Tricia has been dreaming about.She woke up as early as possible so that she could get back to her proposed place of Primary assignment in order to give a good impression of herself to the Human Resource Manager that she is punctual on the day she was asked to come over for her appointment letter.Though, she has not meet the Human Resource Manager but she was a bit at peace with herself because of what she had about the Human Resource Manager disposition about her from the discussion the Human Resource Manager had with Tony the previous day.

Tricia really appreciate the Human Resource Manager gesture about her when Tony was asked about how and where she knew such a pretty lady.Though, the Human Resource Manager has never met her before but the Human Resource Manager asserted the she was pretty from the passport sized photograph she submitted the other time she submitted some of her documents with the receptionist.

While Tricia is already on her feet praying in her room around 5am in preparation for the day.Tony was still busy sleeping in his room.

Immediately Tricia finished with her personal morning devotion,she started preparing breakfast in the kitchen.It was the noise of dirty plates she was cleaning in the Kitchen that woke up Tony from his sleep.Immediately, Tony dressed up scantly and moved out to exchange pleasantry with his tenant.

Good Morning Tricia…Tony greeted.

How was your night?…..Tony continued.

Hope you had a restful night…Tony concluded.

I am fine…Tricia replied.

I am trying to prepare Tea with the bread I bought yesterday before you came back from work…..Tricia continued.

No problem…Tony responded.

That’s very thoughtful and matured of you…Tony concluded.

Immediately, Tricia finished the breakfast, she arranged the dinning and rushed into the bathroom to get herself prepared for the day’s appointment.Meanwhile, Tony was already in the bathroom getting himself prepared for the day’s work.

While in the bathroom,Tony was busy thinking about how his day in the office will look like today.He concluded that he will go to the office today with Tricia, so he has to wait for her to get herself prepared .

While Tony was busy thinking about the day ahead of him, Tricia too was busy imaginning how the day will look like but her priority for the day is for her to get her appointment and engagement letter with how much her monthly allowance will be so that she will be able to prepare herself for the future especially how she will sort her accommodation out before it is too late.Left to her she believed that Tony is engaged but she didn’t want to pry into Tony’s personal affair like that.Hence, she kept quiet and refrain from asking him about anything related to relationship.

Breakfast is ready…Tricia called out to inform Tony .

Oh!!! Are you through…Tony asked.

Yes!!!The dinning is set already….Tricia replied.

I will soon be at the dinning…Tony replied.

By the time Tony walked out of his room dressed for the day’s work, Tricia is already sitting down at the dinning waiting for Tony so that she can serve his breakfast.

When Tony came out from his room,he was at a little distance from the dinning when he observed Tricia sitting down and waiting for him.

That’s your breakfast….Tricia talked.

That’s your breakfast…..Tricia talked again

That’s your breakfast….Tricia talked again the third time.

While Tricia was repeating herself, Tony gave no response and it was glaring that Tony was lost and absent minded being carried away to a large extent.

At this point, Tricia was bothered too thinkinbg about this strange occurence which she has no answer to and she kept ruminating on what could have warrant such behaviour from Tony but she later continue with her breakfast.

After few minutes of deaf silence, Tony regained her consciousness and later replied Tricia.

Is this mine…Tony asked.

Y–e–s—s!!!Tricia replied but her response was cold and it dragged accompanied with the fact that she was bothered about what made Tony delayed in answering her.

Both ate their breakfast without altering a word and the silence on the dinning table made Tricia to rush her breakfast so that she could dodge and safe herself from what she couldn’t explain at the moment and she didn’t have the audacity to ask because she believed that she might not have the right answer from Tony but Tricia was scared and unhappy.

While Tony was busy consuming her breakfast slowly, he was deeply thoughtful and kept remembering what the Human Resource Manager told him about Tricia and the question the Human Resource Manager asked Tony the previous day kept ringing in his head.

“Where did you know that pretty lady”…..It kept ringing.

At this point, Tony started talking to himself.

Hmmmm….Truly she is beautiful and I am just confirming it but will it be morally alright for me to woo this lady?Won’t it look as if I am just an opportunist that want to maximize the situation on ground for personal gains?….Tony kept asking silent questions.

It was almost getting to 7:30AM when Tony stood up and regained his thoughtfulness and he called upon Tricia that he is ready with his food.

Can we start going to office?….Tony asked.

I am ready too, we can start going..Tricia replied.

Both walked outside and ensured that the doors are locked and they both head on to the mainroad to get a cab that will take them down to office.

While they were in the cab, Tony remembered that he will have to introduce Tricia to Titus.

I am going to introduce you to my good pal….Tony informed Tricia.

No problem…Tricia replied.

By 7:50am, they both alighted infront of the company’s gate and they stepped into the company’s premises.

Tricia was asked to wait with the reception at the security post in order for her to be registered and tagged.She waited at the security post till the Human Resource Manager resumed and Tony bid her goodbye.

While she was at the security post, Tony moved on to his office in preparation for the day’s job but promised to call Tricia when he noticed that the Human Resource Manager is around.

Ok!!!I will call to inform you when he is around…Tony concluded.

No problem…I will be expecting your call….Tricia replied.

THE WRONG MOTIVE—EPISODE NINE—CHAPTER NINE.

CHAPTER TWO.

Hello!!!…Tony pushed a call to Tricia informing her that the Human Resource Manager is around.

You can ask the security personnel on duty to push a call to the Human Resource Managers’ office so that the receptionist can usher you in….Tony informed Tricia.

Ok!!!…Tricia replied.I will do just that now.

Oh!!! She can start walking down…The Human Resource Manager informed the security personnel on the phone.

Ma!!!…You can walked down to the Human Resource Managers’ office….the security personnel informed Tricia.

Ok!!!No problem.Thanks…Tricia appreciated the security personnel.

Immediately,Tricia walked down to the administrative block to meet the Human Resource Manager concerning her appointment letter.

Good day Ma,I would like to see the Human Resource Mnanger…Tricia greeted the receptionist.

Ok!He is around but wait a minute….The receptionist asked Tricia to exercise patience.

You ca have your seat…The receptionist continued.

Thank you Ma…Tricia responded.

Within a jiffy, the receptionist dashed into the Human Resource Managers’office to inform him of that he has a visitor waiting for him.Though,Tricia’s face has become familiar with the Human Resource Managers’receptionist who attended to her on Monday.

Good day Sir….Tricia greeted the Human Resource Manager

Good day!

You can come inside…Human Resource Manager replied.

What can I do for you…Human Resouces Manager probed further.

At this point, Tricia introduced herself and made the Human Resource Manager to understand that she is having an appointment with him today which is based on the receptionist asking her to check back today in order to collect her appointment letter for official posting and acceptance for her place of primary assignment for the National Youth Service Corp—NYSC

Oh!!! You are Miss Tricia Patrick that submitted her NYSC document on Monday.Your appointment letter is ready for collection and you will need to append your signatory to show your acceptance for the offer.

Congratulations!!!

Tricia immediately went into frenzy by the time he saw the package and the condition of service,eventhough her appointment lapsed after one year that is officially designated for the NYSC programme by the Nigerian Government.

She couldn’t hide and hold her happiness because she knew quite alright that with the salary package she will be able to afford rentage for a comfortable accommodation in some months time coupled with the fact that she still couldn’t fathom what went wrong with Tony’s countenance while at dinning in the morning.

Immediately, as earlier agreed upon by her and Tony that she should give him a call when she is through in order to introduce her to Titus.

Hi,Tony…..Tricia called.

What’s up, Tricia…..Tony replied

I have collected the appointment letter…Tricia continued.

Where are you…Tricia asked.

Just asked the Receptionist or the Human Resource Manager to direct you to my office….Tony informed Tricia.

It was already getting to around 1:00pm and everybody is gradually getting ready for lunch break when Tricia finished in the Human Resource Managers’ office and by the time she located Tony’s office, some staffs are already leaving their seat .

As she was about leaving Human Resource Managers’office and she was heading towards Tony’s office,she ran into a dark comlexioned man.

Good Afternoon Sir…Tricia greeted.

Afternoon Madam…The man replied.

What can I do for you?….The man continued.

I would like to see Tony….Tricia asked.

Tony!Tony!!Tony!!!…The man exclaimed.

He is still on seat.I will take you to his office…The man continued.

Thank you Sir…Tricia replied.

Tricia followed him to locate Tony in his office and by the time they got to Tony’s office, he was about dashing out to look for Titus who he planned to introduce Tricia to.As Tony was about reaching the entrance,Tony jammed Tricia and the man that is taken her along to meet Tony.

How did both of you meet each other?….Tony asked

What do you mean?….Titus asked Tony.

This is Tricia I was talking about yesterday and it was funny how I am seeing both of you together now.

Really!!!

I can’t believe my eyes.What a coincidence….Titus replied.

I forgot to ask for her name,if I had asked her, I would have been able to decipher and remember that she is the pretty lady Tony was talking about yesterday.

This world is a small place….Tony concluded.

After this,Tony introduced Tricia to Titus and the three walked away to “The Spoon Canteen” to observe their lunch break.

Titus promised to foot the bill for the three plates of food.

They all dine and wine .

Left the canteen together.

While Tony and Titus went back to the office after lunch time.

Tricia was elevated as she took cab back home.

CONVERSATION WITH MY DAUGHTER 5.—(6 Minutes Read).

The responses and comments that accompanied the previous episode were encouraging and overwhelming, and this spur my intention to write more on the concept of parenting with practical real life issues,experiences and encounters designed to serve as an addition to give the role and responsibility of parenting a face lift that will be a source of inspiration to the entire society at large.

I appreciate my followers,my readers and all viewers who took their time to read through and comment on the Episode 1,2,3 and 4.I have decided to spend more of my time and writing for articles that will serve as a motivation and inspiration that will be a source of eye-opener to every parent and every children who desire to understand the purpose of their existence while existing on the surface of earth.

The desire of parents anywhere in the world is for their wards to become better in the course of their existence on earth.This simply put a very tasking and arduous responsibility on anyone who desire the beauty of parenting and this responsibility is a task that must be carried out and fulfilled.

Parenting is one of the major responsibilities that has rewards transcending the physical to the spiritual accompanied with impact and impart that have eternal renumeration potent and efficient enough to attract transgenerational blessings if such responsibilities and roles are maintained and enforced to become a heirloom and a legacy across family line.

Good parenting is a kind of parenting that is exhibited by good tutelage designed to add values purposed to bring out the best in our children by allowing them to understand the purpose of their existence so that they will be able to emerge more as a blessing to their generation than emerging as a burden or a source of concern to the entire society.

Not quite long,around two weeks ago,I was baffled and overwhelmed with a sense of fulfilment when I observed a particular scenario that has to do with my little daughter.

It started on a Sunday, when at the end of Sunday service, that I and my beloved–my wife went to pick our daughter from the Childrens’ class.It was then we are aware that she has threw up by vomitting,a situation that was quite strange and unexpected but we managed the situation until we got home with her body temperature too high to bear but her mum took her to the hospital immediately we got home.

After a visit to the doctor for medical checkup and comprehensive treatment, she was later diagonised of malaria and she came back home with drugs administered to her by the doctor with adequate and proper prescription about the usage.

Immediately, we started applying the prescribed drugs coupled with the combination of anointing oil.

As a Christian and a member of Living Faith Church Worldwide, the application of anointing oil which is biblical and scriptural is part of our doctrine and belief that members of the church do not play or joke with.

By the morning of the next day which happenned to be Monday Morning,she was a little bit balanced,better and recuperating gradually.

While I was in the bath preparing in the morning to go to work, I was amazed with her request from me which goes thus in form of a conversation:

Ko! Ko!! Ko!!!…..she knocked.

Daddy!!!……She called.

Faith!!!

What do you want?….I asked her.

Daddy!!!…..She called again.

I need the anointing Oil…..She asked.

For what?Why do you need it…I probed further.

To put it on my head…..She responded.

At this point I felt elevated with her demands because I was oblivious of the fact that she is grasping everything that is being done around her.

Among others, one of the major purpose of parenting is training that influences our wards to become better and matured in life.Training can b e in any form, be it physical,financial,spiritual,economical and emotional.Training must be total in content and context with the inherent ability to go a long way in moulding and shaping the destiny of the Children GOD gave to us in the course of our existence on earth.

As a parent, God empowered us to be a role model to all the Children HE gave to us.This enforces a form of responsibility on us that is expressed in influence and our apt responsiveness in meeting their needs and standing in gap for them in order for them to become confident and balanced in life.

Any form of approach to parenting that is devoid of enforcing positive influence on our children simply connotes the exhibition of irresponsibility and irresponsiveness.

Since our children are made to be a mirror image and a reflection of their parents, any acts of wrong doing that is being exhibited by them can be counted as a result of laxity and levity displayed in the course of grooming our children.

It is what our children exhibit that will end up being a reality of the society in its entirety.

It is pertinent to admonish every parent to do everything within their means to mould the leaders of tommorrow to emerge as giants that will become trailblazers while existing on earth.

The purpose of parenting becomes justified and fulfilling when the desired responsibilities are made available and provided in raising a complte and a balanced children the entire society will be proud of.

WHAT ARE THE NECESSITIES FOR ACHIEVING SET GOALS?.—(5 Minutes Read).

This idea occupied my line of thought just now which could be submitted as an outcome of my personal appraisal about my plans concerning year 2017 when it started about twelve months ago.

It came like a sort of questioning asking myself about how far I have gone achieving some laid down aims and objectives designed for the achievement of my goals from the beginning of 2017 till this present moment.

While I was able to achieve some, others remained untouched till this present moment due to certain circumstances that are somehow hard beyond my ability and capacity to comprehend what could have happened in preventing such aim and objectives from becoming handy and a object of reality.

One of the goals I planned achieving in the course of 2017 which I will mention is getting my blogsphere upgraded to premium so that it can become monetised but looking back at the realities of this year, I observed that I was unable to get it done.

The year started specially with multifarious practical realities, some were expected while others are unexpected.Just as the saying goes:

“Always expect the unexpected”

There are two practical realities that accompany 2017 and these realities are:

The expected
The unexpected.

I will refrain to a large extent from going deep into the two aforementioned realities so that there will not be a major digression from the subject matter but one thing that is cocksure is that :

“Why is it that dreams and plans are made continually and continuosly on a daily basis by every one living on earthly pedestal but only few of the visions made becomes a subject and an object of reality?”

This is a one million dollar question that is as old as the world itself.It is a question that is being asked by every human being and it will continue to be a question that will be asked till the end of age but few people who understand the secrets of earthly mysteries will be empowered to give reasonable practical answers to this question.

The possibilities of the realities of your dreams,plans and aspirations end up being fulfilled when you are able to meet up with the set goals.Goals are the catalysts that speed up the rate and speed at which our laid down dreams,plans and aspirations can be achieved expressly.

In contrast,many people are fond of making and creating goals towards achieving a set target but the achievements are always difficult and impossible,and the reasons for such impossibility and difficulty needs to be highlighted one after the other.

These are viz:

Inconsitency in meeting up with set goals.
Lack of focus.
Distraction.
Dishonesty.
Lack of interest.
Lack of discipline and self-control.
Laziness and floppiness.
Lack of determination and commitment.
Lack of persevearance and persistency
Lack of will-power
Lack of vision
Lack of ability to live a selfless and sacrificial lifestyle.
Wastefulness of resources
Procrastination

These are some of the thorns that are potent enough to choke any form of goals laid down in the course of your bid to achieve the beauty of your dreams,plans and aspiration at any point in time.

These are sets of factors that cluster as a colony,a canopy and a covering to blur your desire and drive to achieve a set goals in the course of the year.

Every year becomes beautiful when your goals become a reality but bthe reality of the goals can never see the light of the day once some of these factors have their assemblage in your approach to achieve what is needed to make your dreams,plans and aspiration a confirmed practical reality.

Your desire and drive to achieve your set goals and targets are akin to a journey and a sojourn.For any journey to be smooth and succesful, such must be free from obstacles and clogs that constitute a wall of resistance to the success of such journey.

In conclusion, we are all at the tail end of the year whereby it is necessary for personal appraisal and stock-taking must be made in order to visualise how far you have gone in achieving you set goals and target.

This must be carried out by anyone who desire proper monitoring of personal progress and achievement so that proper preparation can be made in correcting the lapses of 2017 for 2018 to be more succesful and glorious in all ramifications.

CONVERSATION WITH MY DAUGHTER 6:HOW I OBSERVED ONE HOUR PRAYER WHEN SHE PLAYED A CHRISTIAN WORSHIP SONG. –(6 MINUTES READ).

WHEN EXISTENTIALISM IS SUBJECTED TO EXTREMISM—-(6 Minutes Read).

In the course of 2016,I presented a personal view on initially on my facebook timeline and later I published it on my blog tagged:

“EXTREMISM AGAINST EXISTENTIALISM”.

In the course of last week and while I was in discussion with someone in the course of the weekend, this particular publication crossed my mind but I was somehow appalled for being unable to trace the actual date of the publication.

The present realities in the continent of Africa is a pointer to the fact that many people in this part of the world placed premium on extremism far above existentialism in th manner and approach by which they handle and understand the purpose of humanity on earthly pedestal.

No doubt about it, the concept and ideology of extremism flourishes when there is injustice, poverty,nepotism,corruption and other source of criminality that profit nothing but to maroon the essence of human existence on earth.

“Extremism is a concept, an idea and a philosophy that subject the beauty of human existence to a particular approach which is propagagted on the believe that human life and the purpose for human existence should be secondary in any approcah to achieve any form of success in any endeavour which is always passed across in a manner whereby human life, dignity and integrity must be mortgaged and maimed for such idea to see the light of the day”.

It is quite important to note that extremism will always stand at a loggerhead with any approach that will promote and preserve human life.

According to Hillary Clinton:

“Extremism thrives amid ignorance and anger, intimidation and violence”.

With this quote above, it is essential to note that extremism is always centred around playing on the mind of people.It becomes established once ignorance is the order of the day.

Recently, the news of the ressurgence of slave trade in Libya emerged a breaking news accompanied with many reactions and responses from far and near with many practical stories being relayed by people who are victims of such sorts of barbarism.

A careful analytical observation from the stories relayed and responses from majority of people simply point to the fact that the extremism in every human emerges when there are challenges that are viewed to be overwhelming. A larger percentage of human beings will prefer taking up an extreme measure that are so mean and anti-human in order to get solutions to their challenges.

The recent emergence of slave trade is a pointer to the fact that the captive who embarked on a journey to Europe through the desert and through the high sea became very desperate for greener pasture in Europe without thinking deeply about the risk involved.This is a simple description of what extremism is all about because it involved the suspension of existentialism which makes human life to be counted as nothing but a denominator for making it in life.

The captor who sees the opportunity of the realities in Libya to established a trade that is illegal and anti-human is also an extremist because the any approach that suspend human dignity through abuse of human right to the point of putting anyone in chains and manacles is a good description of extremism since the concept of existentialism is suspended at this point for personal gains and personal aggradisement.

All around us, without mincing words, if we take our time to check, one could observe vividly many forms of extremism that is eroding the beauty and dignity of humanity on a daily basis.

In the course of the weekend, while in a discussion, someone was been talked about advicing another person that if he wants to make sales in million, one of the steps needed to be taken is to employ ladies that are beautiful, seductive and attractive because this will be better tool to attract the high and the mighty in the society to patronise the business.

It was at this point,I realised that the essence of humanity is being degraded by extremism in all facet of human endeavour which starts from being desperate in getting things done without giving a damn about whose ox is gored.

Moreover, in a situation whereby what a lady cares about is to sleep with her boss in order to get promoted without given a damn about what the process and procedure for promotion in such an establishment.In the course of such approach,injustice,partiality,cheating and all sorts of dirty ideas will be promoted and this will make more people who are not deep in thinking to become desperate also in their bid to get their life moving.

“Extremism has nothing to offer but to cause confusion, imbalance,chaos and instability but it always starts with someone who think and believe that the best way in life is to go all out to pull others down before personal dreams and aspirations can become a reality”.

They are all around us and they are busy promoting their anti-human approaches on a daily basis without any remorse, restraints and constraints.

Their impacts are being felt in every area of human endeavour with its boomearng effect having a destructive force on the existence of human being on earth.

No society can be developed in totality when the amber of extremism is fanned as it relates to ideas, views and philosophy.It is the society that suffers for it and it is potent enough to mortgage the future of the coming generation by making it blur and bleak

While we are living and existing, the only good thing we can offer humanity is to promote and preserve existentialism as a way of life in terms of ideas, views and philosophy far above extremism.

It is extremism that makes someone to embark on a journey through the desert and the high sea in order to makes end meet that later resulted into someone holding you captive in a foreign land and being auctioned for a token by your captor.

“No society can emerge when all the inhabitants are bent on being making it at all cost without putting into consideration the effect of their approaches on others.Their must be a human feelings for any approach being propagated and the approach must be geared towards preserving human dignity.”

“It is until when human existence is viewed as a a precious seed that must be protected and preserved above any form of approach that the real meaning of the essence of humanity will become a reality and human dignity will be enhanced”.

In conclusion, whenever existentialism is subjected to extremism,the emergence and ressurgence of slave trade becomes the visible outcome and feasible reality.Whenever, existentialism is murdered on the platform and altar of extremism,illicit trafficking of human being as slave becomes an acceptable business ventures.

Whatsoever it might cost, existentialism must not be allowed to become inferior to extremism.

“As if to say that the tension in the world is not yet enough,he(Trump) with all other allies decided to trigger another waves of tension in the middle-east that might make the fragile peace being managed across the length and breadth of the entire world to varnish into thin air”.

Libya, Yemen, Syria, Iraq and many parts of the world have already become a failed state due to civil wars and battles that nobody knows when it will fizzle out.ISIS,Al-Queda,Boko Haram,Hamas, Hezbollah and others are some of the terrorist groups that has held the world down at a point and there has not been any solution till now.

“Why could a President of the United State of America be bothered and concerned about the location of the capital of another sovereign state.”

Without any doubt,it is easier to conclude that there is an ulterior motive by Donald Trump in dipping his hand to a very sensitive issue of this magnitude which might made mainy Islamic countries and other muslim fatefuls to feel cheated thereby leading to some of them taking up arms and other weapon of destruction.

I read through it not quite long and I am confident that the quality of the content therein will serve as an eye-opener and a source of inspiration and motivation for many marriages and relationship that are struggling to stand and those that are on the verge of collapsing.

I believed that the purpose will be fulfilled expressly.

This is how it goes:

Without any form of argument or being old schooled, marriage imposed a level of reasonable authority on every man.

Authority is imposed by divinity through marital vow on every husband and this must be exhibited and discharged meaningfully not by masculinity and “machoness” only but by simple discharge of timely responsibility without any iota and atom of reluctance,delay and resentment.

Responsible married men are known and praised by discharging their responsibilities without any form of coaxing and cuddling.

No wife should be bold and confident enough to challenge or raise an eye-brow by being indifferent to the correction and instruction of her husband once it is meant to be progressive and developmental without any readiness to share the responsibility needed in the family.

It will tantamount to meaningless insurbodination when you are deaf to your husband’s correction and instruction.This simply signal your desire to share parts of the responsibility needed in the family.

Authority is akin and equals shared responsibility discharged by the parties involved in marriage without any trace of self-centredness.

Being indifferent to your husband authority signals your desire and envy to share the autority purposed and bestowed on your husband by divinity.

Desired equality between husband and wife is quite good and right but it becomes meaningful when the husband and wife are ready to share the responsibilities required for a balanced marital union equally.

“Desired equality between husband and wife connote desired shared authority and desired shared authority denotes desired shared responsibilities being shared equally in content and context having thesame running cost and thesame accompanied reward”.

Once this is in place, the confusion and misunderstanding embedded in marriages in this generation will end up being a thing of the past.

“In this generation, we have more of Mr.and Mr. stylishly-a kind of gayism that has not being noted by us and defined by us.”

Marriage should not be a battle ground for unhealthy rivalry between husband and wife.

“Marriage is designed for completion and not competition”.

In spite of the authority given by divinity to man, it should not be misconstrued as a tool for oppression and subjudigation by the husband.It is a necessity that must be used to propel meaningful love and care to the wife and the children.

No trace of disrespect and maltreatment should be allowed in the idealogy of the husband in discharging the authority granted to him by divinity.

In conclusion,marriage gets more interesting and meaningful whenever the basic understanding and knowledge needed to make it work meaningfully are on ground.

It should be designed to make the partners involved better in every ramification of human endeavour.

It is an addition not a subtraction.

Marriage is a treasure and not a burden.

The quietness of the night elude them,

Their rest became vaporised,

The heaviness of their eyelid disappeared,

They woke up in fear and with trembling,

They ran helter skelter,

In the middle of the night,

Their sleep was truncated with topsy-turvy,

And the cry for help took over,

The beautiful atmosphere of the night became sullen,

Vampires are everywhere,

Killing,murdering and maiming without control,

With their clubs and swords,

They expressed their meaness by butchering innocent souls,

Innocent souls slaughtered like cows,

Innocent souls butchered without control,

And the flow of blood surpassed the flow of blood in an abatoir.

While the fury of the rampaging vampires gushed out,

The blood of the innocent gushed out like water from a cistern,

While the flesh of the innocent were butchered and massacred,

While the bones of the innocent were crushed,

Hell was let loose,

And Benue State became a home of fury,

Blood sucking demons were high in their kingdom,

I was on transit recently in a bus one beautiful morning and there was this young man who sat just close to me.He started a converstaion and we got talking in the course of the long journey.He obviously was an extrovert, so it wasn’t difficult for him to pick up a chat.

Somehow I got to know he was thirty-three years old sometimes after that day.He was keeping my company with all his gists.

And then, he asked me about what I am doing for a living.Gladly,I told him what I was into at first and then smiled with greater hope for years to come.

Suddenly,he kept mute and his countenance changed and went down.

Hi!

You aren’t saying anything….I said.

He took a deep breath and sighed…

Hmmm….could this be what people refer to as “enemy of progress”.I thought.

But he doesn’t know me,I pondered.

It was glaring that something was wrong at that point.I needed not a soothsayers to tell me.

But I chose to keep quiet.Then I turned to the window side and avoided anymore talk.

Few minutes after I turned, he called for my attention, and then he later opened up to me that he was frustrated with his career choice.He made it clear that where he was at that point was as a wrong decision made back in high school by trying to be where his friends and colleagues were or doing what they wanted.

According to him,he wasn’t satisfied, he was struggling with such inner pain and the height of it all was that he had just made a decision to start all over again from sciences to arts and humanities.

Of course, it’s never too late to right the wrong but then, time is no man’s friend.He missed out at the early stage.

At this juncture, I want you to look at yourself deeply,check your life in the mirror of the path you are treading on and ask yourself these questions:

Am I fulfilled?

Am I happy with the choices I made?

Can I stand alone without trying to bank on people in this journey where I am towing?

I really need you to take a pause and answer these questions wholeheartedly without deceit and with a clear conscience.

If your answer is positive, I congratulate you.

If your answer is negative, I really also appreciate your sincerity and then I asked that you paused, ponder and have a rethink on the danger of following someone’s else’s dream.

There is one thing you should understand,which is,there is only one ‘you’ and you were born,made and wired for a specific purpose.

People, friends and familiars might laugh at you while you are moving on your path but you must understand that all jesting and mockery would only be for a season that would end up fizzling out when the result begins to manifest.

You were not born to be like everybody or someone else.You are unique and special.

Now tell me,what would be unique about you if your life was exactly like someone else or you do exactly what every of your friends do?

The specialty and uniqueness in you was set to affect someone’s life or even a large number of people.

In my days in high school, there was this notion about those in the arts department which is somehow negative,It was about art students not being intelligent and smart pupils are meant for science and technical departments.

There were conflicts within me.I knew I had an inbuilt affinity for arts naturally but then I never wanted to be recokned with anything that has to do with being tagged, counted and called a dull or an unintelligent student.

Fortunately for me,I thank goodness for sending my then English Language teacher who came at the right time and whispered a seemingly light but then strong word to me.He said,’it is better to be where you can be at your best than to be where you might end up being confused’.

And today,with a glad heart,I can proudly say that Art is life.I would have been less relevant if I had gone my way because of what people think or what people would say.

I have mentors–People I looked up or admire their lifestyle but that doesn’t neccessarily mean that I have to be like them.I can only emulate some attributes, values and virtues that sustained them in their journey to be whom I was meant to be.

In other words, it is not wrong for you to have mentors, as a matter of fact having a mentor challenges you to greater and lofty heights but you must put on that mentality of wanting to be better than your mentor by reaching for more higher grounds.

This does not come easily by mere wishes or wishful-thinking, it comes by extra responsibilities, sacrifices,selflessness,commitment,dedication and responsiveness.

Being succesful entails doing more to get more.It comes as an outcome of discipline that is incomparable in terms of dedication, diligence and commitment.

When you find yourself on the right path, there is a kind of easiness, candour, calmness and self-fulfilment that accompany such.

It is when your purpose is discovered and when it is followed strictly that the essence of your existence becomes achievable.

With the recent realities in the world,it will tantamount to injustice if the stereotypic and ritualistic view about terrorism and extremism remain unchanged.It should be changing gradually with what is obtainable in a larger scale globally without any restraint and constraints.

The perception that nations of the world in the Middle East and Islamic World been seen as aa major enclave of religious fanaticism, extremism and terrorism should start taking a paradigm shift with the recent happenning in the home front in the United States of America whereby 27 christian worshippers were mowed down within a twinkling of an eye without given the victims, the injured and the deceased to mutter their last solemn prayer.

Eventhough,Western media didn’t want to give such gory incidence wide media coverage as it is done for other terrorist attacks all over the world.

With this recent happenning, one could submit that terrorism is beyond religious supremacy and affliation but it is all about deep rooted hatred that is profound which is always transfer aggressively and practically to take away the life of others unexpectedly with all security apparatus being caught unaware with other citizens being caught in akimbo with the shock of the gory incidence while the mouth remained widely opened.

Now, we can see that any environment can produce a terrorist.Any society can make a terrorist out of anybody once hatred is rife and ripe with the desire to silence another person taking the centre stage in the desire of anybody to sniff life out of another person without any cogent reason.

Our society is filled with idealogy and philosophy that are potent enough to fuel and fan the amber of hatred and rage that is sinistering in all ramifications.

Hatred takes emminence and preeminence once there is an imbalance in societal structure with it being rife when there is a social disorder that encourages inequality accompanied with approaches that makes one person to think and feel it is rightful to downgrade and pull down the life of others which is always platformed on the supremacy belief of one religion, race and tribe over another.

Whenever you think about terrorist in Afghanistan, think about terrorist in America that are bent on the ideaology of mass shooting that has claimed the life of many innocent souls in recent years.

Whenever you think about ISIS,Boko Haram,Al Queda and Al Shabab, think about Americans that are terrorist, eventhough the man that carried out the recent dastardly act has been somehow presented to the world as someone that is mentally deranged since he escaped psychiatric assylum in 2012.

Hence,it was concluded that he is not a terrorist and the crime committed by him has been classified as domestic violence by American Government.

Terrorism becomes deeply rooted when personal idealogy and philosophy are fabricated to hatred and inferiority complex that targets innocent blood before someone can make a statement that will catch the attention of the entire world.

Whenever you think about Africans and blacks as being babaric, remember that many Americans are uncivilized and worse off than any beast.

Don’t be decieved by the level of America development, there are many dare devils walking on the streets of America.

Until when the culture of gun and firearms possession are curtailed and controlled significantly,terrorism in the mode of mass shooting in America will remain a continuos and constant reality with innocent souls paying dearly for this rage of wickedness and madness.

And it shall be terrorism by Americans against Americans just as Boko Haram in Nigeria is an extremism and fanatiscm against Nigerians.

The kind of babarism,inhumanity and paleolithism being reported and being wailed about on all media spaces across the length and breadth of the world at this moment which centred around the prosperity and the re-introduction of the vicious enterprise of slave trading that has been abolished centuries ago which was reported to have been on the rise in Libya is mind-blowing and mind-boggling accompanied with a kind of suprise and wonder why humanity is gradually drifting back to the stone ages and dark ages whereby human beings are used as a commodity for building business enterprise and trade by barter.

It is quite baffling how humanity can be engulfed with such a low level extreme form of inhumanity despite the the level of advancement and development being experienced in all areas of human endeavour.

Meanwhile, there exist many new trends of challenges the world is being faced with at this moment with no form of solution at the horizon now.While many challenges are raising their ugly heads bedevilling and plaguing humanity, it is quite unexpected and unacceptable that slavery that has been abolished with no one bothering to imagine and remember the history of slavery orchestrated majorly by Europe could be reinvested into coupled with the fact that Africa as a continent was stripped naked of valuable resources in the form of raw materials and human materials centuries ago but the sudden appearance and introduction of such form of discrimination and apartheid against humanity makes it a double tragedy and a double insult to the existence of humanity.

This form of enterprise resurfacing at this moment is a confirmation of the fact that there is a missing link and a lacuna in humanity placing values and premium on the purpose and essence of humanity which boils down to misunderstanding of what humanity at every level needs in building a society that will be all-encompasing in approach accompanied with the consciousness and sensitivity needed to develop a class-less society.

One of the idealogy and philosophy that form the baseline in the line of thought of anyone investing into human trafficking and slave trading is simply the thought of supremacy that is fashioned towards suppressing others which is a kind of believe that has its genesis in class mentality that can be construed to be a product of deep hatred,discrimination and racism rooted in deep wickedness directed to humiliate one person by another person.

Oppression and suppression directed in full content and context to humiliate and disfigure the existence of anyone in part or in totality by mortgaging, choking and removing the basic human right of another person by somebody who claim to be lord over another person is what slavery and human trafficking are all about.

Slave trading, drug trafficking and human trafficking are the kinds of enterprises that are inimical to the existence of humanity and they are the kind of illegal business enterprises directed by cartel and cabals of people who believe that the only way to live large in the society is through their engagement in illicit and inhuman way of life.

The entire human race should not be in akimbo to the waves of this challenge being gradually re-introduced into the world.Every right thinking person should raise up their voice and speak against this evil that is about to become a way of life in Libya presently.

The communion of African community was cornered by Europe centuries ago and the resources stolen from Africa were used to develop the continent of Europe thereby leaving the continent of Africa naked.Independence was given after a long fight by almost all African countries for self governance but yet the Western World clandenstinely left behind conditions that prosper neo-colonialism and neo-imperialism which when digested for further it still another form of colonialism and slavery.

Many school of thought believed that the unnecessary invasion of Libya by NATO forces that ended up toppling the Libyan strongman–Ghaddafi is the major reason why the country was torn apart into what it is right now but looking at it from another angle, one could notice that it is all about human idealogy and philosophy that boiled down to either inferiority complex from the captor or a kind of superiority complex traceable to the captor or the slave master.

It is a reality that is unacceptable and unexpected at this moment when the global world is looking for a way out to salvage the plight of every inhabitants of the world but for a gory incidence of this magnitude to be a serious subject of discuss in 2017 is a pointer to the fact that the human mind needs to undergo a kind of evolution that will enhance the dignity of all and sundry.

There is a need for all men and women of goodwill to speak out by raising awareness and sensitization that will prevent innocent Nigerians from falling prey of the cabal of drug traffickers,human traffickers and slave trading merchants which has made the Nigerian society a source of global concern once again.

It is pertinent for someone to present a balanced view that has to do with laying blame on those who are desperate of getting greener pastures by embarking on a suicide mission of passing through the desert and the high sea in order to get to the heart of Europe thereby mortgaging their lifes for shadows.

In a situation whereby the Nigerian Society has been a subject of concern in recent times is a pointer to the fact that the Nigerian Government has a lot to do in making the economy buoyant and vibrant accompanied with the provision of employment because those who are seen airlifted from Libya back to Nigeria were observed to be youth.This made it important for the Nigerian Government to fashion approaches that will make the Nigerian youth to become engaged and busy contributing their quota to the overall development of their personalities and that of the Nigerian economy.

“The African soil has been raped century ago by slave merchants,no chance should be given again for this kind of evil to prosper again on any nation in any part of African Continent”.

“At this moment of our national existence,everyone who believe in the beauty of humanity should contribute their quota in the salvation of the entire world from the grip of the ressurgence of this new wave of inhumanity that is trying to catch the world unaware by finding a subtle of establishing itself on the African soil”.

WHY ARE YOU KNOCKING THE WRONG DOOR?—(6 Minutes Read).

In the course of the weekend, I fixed an appointment with someone on Monday,27th of November 2017 during lunch break in an Office that is a stone throw away from my place of work.

When I got to the front of the office complex, I tried calling him again ti inform him of my presence at his office as earlier planned and purposed by the two of us but his number was switched off.So, I have to copy the next phone number printed on the banner that was outside signifying his business office but I observed that another person picked the call and directed me to meet the reception or the security at the gate asking for a lady called christianah.

Immediately,after the instruction, I cut the call and proceeded to the receptionist downstair by the gate.

“Good afternoon Sir”!….I greeted.

“Afternoon sir”…..he responded.

“I was asked to ask of a lady called Christianah”….I continued speaking with the receptionist.

“Ok”!

“You will have to follow this path by your right and go upstairs to the third floor and ask of her”…..he replied.

“But before you proceed, kindly fill this form”…he continued talking.

I picked up a pen placed on the table and fill the form that was designed to document some information about me and the person I want to see.

Immediately, I finished filling the form, I proceeded and follow the instruction given to me stricrly and after climbing the stair case till I got to the third floor, I was standing infront of a door knocking but there was no response.After some trial knocking and it seems nobody is ready to respond, I placed my hand on the door Knob and I press it down and it was at this moment I realized that the door was not locked at all.

When I opened and enter, my sight was filled with the presence of a beautiful lady which I think might be a secretary or a receptionist having a scarf on her head which I think she might be a muslim.

While she gave out a smiling gesture,she was like:

“You shouldn’t have waited knocking”

And I was like:

“Courtesy demand that I knock your door, I can’t just barge into your office like that”.

While I was downstairs before I met the security guards, I made a call and I have been asked to ask of Christianah.So after, answering the beautiful receptionist upstairs,I asked her of a lady called Christianah.Immediately, I mentioned Christianah, a lady with a sonorous voice just answered from another office that is not too far from that of the receptionist attending to me.

Christianah was like:

“You can come inside”.

While I attempted taking some step forward, I realised that there were many office doors around.

I answered Christianah like this:

“Where is the inside o”

She later directed me into her office.

The purpose of the short meeting was fulfilled with a particular form given to me which I quickly filled within a twinkling of an eye because I didnt want to spend all the sixty minutes given to me by company for rest and lunch break outside.

As I finished and bade goodbye to Christianah,less I forget,Christianah is also a beautiful ebony too but the receptionist was a lttle bit light in complexion.

So as I turned my back at Christianah,I wanted to open a particular door and I later she corrected me as I was approaching the door.

She was like:

“No!Thats not the right door”.

It was at this point that the door I approached initially would have led me to another office entirely.

She later showed me the right door that led to the receptionist office and later I bade the receptionist goodbye as I approached the entry door that exited me out of the company’s premises.

It was while I was appraising my activities for the day later at the end of yesterday that I was inspired to write about this piece tagged:

“WHY OPENING THE WRONG DOOR”

No doubt about it, our existence on earth will always present unto us many doors that are always irrestitible in every sense.They are beautiful doors that portrays great opportunities and some presents promises of a better and a brighter future to us at one point in time.

Since the doors life present to us are always many with the promises of many life changing opportunities, this always put a pressure and the responsibility on us in choosing the right one at the right time.

Though, there are many potential doors openned wide to us but ironically, it bis not every openned door that leads to a point whereby we can obtain what we are purposed for.

Some doors are opened intentionally to bring us back to square one and all round slavery while others are opened to entrap us and choke the plan and purpose of God for us.

“It is not every door that can take you to your destination.Some doors are openned to take us into destitution and servitude that is designed and tailored pin us down on a spot without any reason”

Many people have been a victim of opening the wrong door and they had used their hands to open a door that will keep them in boundage till eternity.

“In life,it is not the access to a door that matters but the access to the right door that will attract the right opportunities is what that matters because life is designed to present unto us many doors that are wide opened”.

This places an arduous task on us in knowing the right door to be opened at the right time by the right key for the right purpose.

It is unti when all these are known and put in place that your desired plan and purpose can be established in the course of your existence on earth.

Doors are opened to mould us while doors are also opened to mar us.It depends on which door is opened by us.

Opening a wrong door simply conotes and trigger regrets, setback and all round servitude but the right door is the door that is potent enough to trigger the launch of the potentials in us and it is fervent enough to birth the fulfilment of our God given destiny and potentials.

“Those who are classified among the successful and the greatest are those who have been opportuned in the course of their existence on earth to open the right door with the right key at the right time for the right purpose which end up launching them into the realm of making the right decision that birthed the right success”.

The struggle and stress of any man terminates at the point whereby the right door is located, opened with the right key for the right purpose.

It is at this point the right success can be obtained at the right time.

Doors are keys to the destiny of every man and woman.No destiny will be fulfilled without the location of the right door at the right time in the course of human existence on earth.

In conclusion,it is important for everyone to discover the right door and the right key designed for the right purpose at the right time for the purpopse of fulfilling destiny at the right time.

As marriage has been generally and acceptably known and defined as a union between a man and a woman,since it involve the congregation and coming together of different parties from different background with different views,beliefs,perspective with diverse and varied understanding,it is of no doubt that every marriage will be prone and subjected to conflicts no matter how deep the love between the man and the woman involved might be.

The emergence of conflicts in marriage should not be underestimated,overlooked and toiled with,it is a reality that no reasonable mind should shy away from and if it not properly and aptly managed,curtailed and controlled,it is potent and powerful enough to shatter,wreck and cause irreperable wreckage of any marriage no matter how long the marital vow has been taken.

The best known marriage in the history of mankind has its low point and high point with multifarious ups and downs.Some survived while others crashed like a pack of cards with all the efforts geared towards redeeming it proofed abortive.

Hence,the need for effective and efficient conflicts management and maintenance is essentilally necessary and this should be enhanced by conscious and concerted efforts that demands sensitivity and all round commitment from concerned parties to see the effect of conflicts as a reality but not as a dream or a fairy tale.

Though,there have been the relay of some marital union that escaped conflicts and the potentials of its wreckage were not in any way surfaced as a reality in the course of some marriages but these sets of marriages are few while majority of marriages in this present generation have been pumelled, tossed, shattered,scattered and destroyed by one form of conflict or the other.

While the causes of conflicts in some marriages are simple, others are known to be complex but no matter the simplicity and complexity of the type of conflicts that emerge in the course of any marital union,the bulk of the solution needed to avert the total collapse of such marital union lies in the hands of the parties involved.

It is of essence to know and understand that the causes of conflicts in marriages could be traceable to external forces and external influences to a large extent that are bound to effectively and efficiently alter the potent force that have been maximized and optimized in keeping such marital union in accordance to its purpose without any rancour.

In all ramification,conflict is a reality in marriage but it is essential to have a deep knowledge and understanding of some of the causes and how these can be managed,controlled,curtailed and how it can be subjected to effective resolutions targetted and chanelled towards making the divine purpose and the intent of marriages to become a reality.

In the light of this,it is of necessity and importance to highlight some basic influences that can trigger marital conflicts between husband and wife.

WHEN WILL YOU STOP MOURNING?—(12 MINUTES READ).

Early this morning,my mind just transcend into a realm that ended up into a reflection triggering a thought about a familiar and his story in recent years bothered my conscience to the point that I ended up asking myself this question that made the title of this piece intended to be a source of inspiration and motivation for me and everyone that is interested in reading along with me.

It goes thus:

He was in a relationship with his fiancee and the relationship has been on course for years with the expectation that both will soon walk down the isle.At a point, preparation for introduction was already at a top gear with the two love-birds preparing to know and familiarise with members of their families.

The joy of the fulfilment of the expected proposed introduction of the two families were overwhelming with both couples looking ahead to witness a moment and a day whereby what they have invested their time and resources into for couples of years will soon become a reality.

Alas!!!

MOURNING 2 — **WHEN WILL YOU STOP MOURNING?**

The unexpected happen and it was grievious to the point that the relationship was finally put asunder.

The lady in question was on her way to her country home for a funeral ceremony of a family member and while on their way to her country home,she lost her life in a ghastly auto-crash and the relationship went into an abyss.

News of her death was received with waves of shock and the guy in question nearly lost his mind in the course of this occurrence.

It was at this point the relationship crashed just as the life of the lady in question varnished into a thin air.

The guy in question spent a bunch of his time to mourn the irreparable loss of his fiancee over a long period of time which subjected him to physical emaciation and psychological depriviation.

This is not in anyway strange at all for anyone who has lost a loved one.It is normal that the person concerned should spent bunch of his precious time to mourn the exit of someone dear to him.

The character in the eye of the storm had this experience in 2014, he is a guy that is of age,close to 40 years or even above 40 years, and at this age, every one expected that after close to four years of the demise of his fiancee, he ought to have taken a step in starting another relationship but to the best of my understanding, he is not in any relationship and he seems not to be interested not to talk of making any trial or attempt that will end up making him to walk down the isle with someone soon.

It was this issue that was on my mind this morning and while ruminating about his ordeal, all I could ask myself was that:

“When will he stop mourning?”

“Will he take a decade or a century to mourn the loss of his heartrob?”

“If so, when will he attempt another relationship with another lady?”

“When will the marital bell ring?”

Though, these arrays of questions might be difficult to answer by the concerned person because the deceased might be the best among the best but one factual reality in life is that there can never be an end to the best.There will always be the best of every human specie as long as we are ready to invest the necessary resources make the best out of every human.

In order not to drift to the extreme,let’s reason together in inspiring and motivating each other.

It is known fact that the beauty of life is cheapily and easitly expressed amidst the grip of challenges.Challenges are the major parameters and decimals that make the purpose of humanity to find reasonable expression in the course of existence on earth.

More often than none,challenges always surface in a negative and in a retrogressive order but many challenges that have been conquered and chronicled in the annals of human history were known to end up with positivity accompanied by productivity being enhanced.

So, while we are experiencing a down moment and while we are having a negative upturn of reality in the course of our existence on earth,it is expedient for you and I to have a deep understanding that our challenges if they are managed properly and maintained effectively, they are inherently potent enough to launch us to a realm whereby we become better and our story of victory will make us to become a cynosure of all eyes.

MOURNING 3 — *WHEN WILL YOU STOP MOURNING?*

It is normal,acceptable and human for anyone who lost a loved one to mourn and remained saddened but it is essential that while anyone is passing through this phase that you allow your eyes to be opened in clarity to behold the beauty of life that lies ahead of you.

No doubt about it,life is in phases and the phases of life always modulate between a high moment and a low moment.And no matter how long we live,these two phases are bound to interfere and affect us to a large extent mentally, psychologically,socially,economically, and financially.

We are created and wired in a manner that we should not always expect the unexpected but the reality of life is always exhibited and displayed in a manner that we should always expect the unexpected.There is a need for us not to shy away from this reality of life that often times than none,the life of every human being existing on earthly pedestal swings between the expected and the unexpected.

Every phase and every moment needs more of appropriate and prompt management of issues and situations by relying on the inherent values and benefits proferred by time to heal any form of injuries and wounds you might have sustained while you are deeply enmeshed in any form of challenges.

Recently,prosperous and succesful marriage is gradually becoming scarce and it is speedily going into extinction in this present age.This was traced to been due to dearth or lack of basic underatnding of what the tenets of the institution of marriage entails and demand.

A prosperous marriage is a marriage that is not built on mere general and common definition that marriage is a union between a man and a woman but when a marriage is established on a deeper and firm understanding that marriage is a union between a man,a woman and God,it will end up becoming blisful,beautiful,succesful and prosperous.

A prosperous marriage becomes achievable and a subject of physical reality when it is anchored on a tripatite arrangement and not on dual arangement of being a union between mere mortals of man and woman but when it is built on a tripatite arrangement made by divinity with its foundation erected on immortality that made God the originator and the source of marriage as a partner,such marital union can never hit the rock in the course of its existence.

Any marriage that is working blisfully and beautifully is a kind of marriage in which parties involved have a functioning understanding that each partner is a stakeholder and not slaves.

Any marital union in which partners involved contributes their quota in accordance to agreed convenanted and contractual agreement accompanied with the context and concept of their relationship based on mutual,symbiotic and platonic understanding with respect for one another view,emotion and feelings can never be far from being a good description of a perfect marriage that is worthy of emulation and admonition.

Marriage becomes succesful without friction when you treat your partner,children and relatives as stakeholders and not as slaves with all the parties involved have a deep understanding of what their role in building prosperous marital foundation and edifice entails.

It is on the paltform of deep understanding of the basic binding force of marriage that love as one of the pillars of prosperous marriage can thrive smoothly without resentment,reluctance and rancour.

As earlier stated that love is one of the basic force that triggers the establishment and the entrenchment of relationship that ends up in marital union,it is worthy to note that love alone can never enhance, keep and maintain the smooth running of any marriage.

Love can simply be described and defined as a facilitator and a means through which the execution of responsibilities that are designed to make the purpose of marital union fulfilled.

WHY ARE YOU PANTING?—(7 MINUTES READ).

Just of recent I had an encounter with the ministry of Holy Spirit,precisely last weekend.It was on the 18th of November 2017.

As I got back from work in the evening,the first issue or challenge I faced was that there was no elecricity supply and my tap has stopped running.

This simply means that there is no water.The water stored in case there is a challenge like this was almost running out and all I could do at the moment is to be bothered thinking about how the weekend will be without water coupled with the fact that there is so many domestic chores that are calling for attention like laundry and general cleaning of the entire house.

At a point, when power was restored, I dashed out to put on the pumping machine but to my chagrin,the pumping machine didnt power which trigger a kind of consternation in the process because I was overwhelmed with the thought of the pumping machine being faulty.

Later, I thought of the pumping machine being repaired but that will be a long-term solution due to the fact that before other co-tenants will rally around to get technician and contribute money for the repair,it might take a couple of days for such solution to arrive.

This disappointment made so many things to run through my mind at a time.And I was like:

“What is the way out now”

Am I going to be sourcing for where to get water from outside?

“What of if I didnt get a place”?

Later, I submitted that I will simply get the serve of “mai ruwa” and pay for some buckets of water but something in me kept asking another question that:

“What of if I didn’t get mai ruwa?

“What am I going to do”

At this juncture,I was bottled up with emotion and anger blaming myself for not putting some palliative measures on ground to avert this type of situation like getting a bigger container that I can use in storing more volume of water that can last me and and my family for a period of three days.

I was in quandary of what to do and anger has started consuming the whole fabrics of me and I started reacting to everything and everyone around me.

The first person to receive such backlash was my wife.

But at a point I heard my inner mind telling me quietly in a low voice, though it was audibly telling me to calm down.

Despite this, I kept asking myself how the weekend will be without water or how are we going to manage with insufficient volume of water because power outage is easy to manage but managing water is something that can make someone life unbearable.

It is something I dont think someone should envisage or pray for because sourcing for water outside someone’s vicinity is quite arduous and painful.The thought of it is killing and suicidal.

This was the experience I have to manage and deal with on Friday evening–18th of November 2017 till the dawn of 19th of November 2017.

In the course of being moody and angered,I heard a voice telling me many times to calm down that things will sort itself out without any stress.It was by the second time, that I started being calm down.

And by the third time, I heard a silent voice telling me to be careful not to transfer the aggression on my wife.At this point, I realised that it is the Spirit of God cautioning me to be very careful with the situation on ground.

By the dawn of 19th of November, when I suddenly woke up in the middle of the night still thinking about an easy way out from the present predicament being faced by me.It was at this point I took a practical step to just uttered a point of prayer silently within me in this manner:

“Holy Spirit!!!”

“What can I do now?”

Then I heard a voice telling me to calm down.

It was at this point i was able to hold my peace.

Suddenly, around 6am,in the twilight of 19th of November 2017, I just heard noise of water splashing on the floor which simply signalled that the overhead storage tank is filled to the brim.

It was at this point that I realised that it was not our pumping machine that is faulty but it was the designated pre-paid meter for pumping machine that has run out.

Then, as a family we were able to attend for all the necessities that is on ground in the course of the weekend.

This encounter and experience offer me an opportunity to learn some practical gift that every christian is endued with in the spiritual.

THE HOLY SPIRIT AS A PERSON

It was recorded in the scripture that the Holy Spirit is a person with a pronoun “HE” by JESUS CHRIST.

It reads:

“These things I have spoken to you;while abiding with you.”But the Helper,the Holy Spirit,whom the Father will send in My name,HE will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you”.

Many Christians are oblivious of the fact that Just as we are in relationship with God-the father and Jesus Christ,the son,so also is our relationship with the Holy Spirit ought to be by seeing the Holy Spirit as a person in like image as any one of us.

With this,it is pertinent for any good christian to relate with the Holy Spirit as a person by offering prayers to Him as a person just the way we pray to God but the form by which our prayers should be offered to the Holy Spirit should be in the form of questions asking Him salient questions about issues that are not clear to us in every facet of our existence.

The Holy Spirit is a member of trinity that offers answers to prayers that have to do with questioning,leading and searching of deep things in the physical and in the spiritual.

It is a pity that many Christians are oblivious of this salient truth and they have not been doing anything to maximize this opportunity given to us by God which was announced to us at the point when Jesus Christ was returning back to heaven.

Another important virtue I learnt is:

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS OUR COMFORTER.

While the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ was about coming to an end,Jesus Christ handed his disciples over to the Holy Spirit asking them to wait for the enduement of the Holy Spirit before they start their ministry which came to pass on the day of pentecost.—Acts of the Apostle 2.

In the book of John 14 verse 26:

It was chronicled that:

“But the comforter,which is the Holy Ghost,whom the Father will send in my name,he shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever I have said to you”-KJV.

With this,it was explicitly written that the Holy Spirit is our comforter while other biblical verson recorded that the Holy Spirit is our helper.So the “comfort and the help seeking” ministry in divinity is inherent in the Holy Spirit.

In the light of this, whenever our supplication and petition falls within the confines of seeking comfort and help,it is always being handled by the person of the Holy Spirit.

Many Christians are unaware of this application because they think that our relationship with the Holy Spirit is all about speaking in strange tongue and languages as it happenned on pentecost day.

This is quite wrong and it places a limitation on our relationship with the personality of the Holy Spirit.

Among other ministry, the ministry of the Holy Spirit relects in this areas:

Provision of comfort and ease.
Teaching
Leading
Remembrance
Help.
Empowement and enduement.

In addition,it is important to know that just as we relate with God and Jesus Christ in Prayers and worship, the Holy Spirit desire and deserve thesame level of relationship.This is something that is amiss largely in christiandom presently.If we can reference the first two members of divinity or trinity, why do we leave the third member without according to Him thesame reference and recognition.

No matter what you are passing through now,no matter how miry and dirty life might be,I want you to rely and rest on the comfort and help of the Holy Spirit.He is ready to bring out a coin from the mouth of the fish in order to meet your needs.

Before this can come to reality,you must recognise, reference and relate with the Holy Spirit so that His ministry will reflect and be visible in your life.

In conclusion,I will ask us one question.

It reads:

“Why are you panting or panicking when you have THE HOLY SPIRIT.”

NB:“The word “mai ruwa” is used in describing anyone who uses a cart-pusher to sell water in kegs usually 20 Litres Keg.It is an HAUSA LANGUAGE.

HOW DO YOU RESPOND TO CORRECTION?—(12 MINUTES READ).

Like the saying goes, a father who loves a child,corrects the child.

Correction is simply a sytematic practical, prompt and pragmatic control approach that makes any given instruction or laid down rules and regulation to be effectively and efficiently carried out in order to achieve and accomplish laid down aims and objectives of such instruction.

It is when an instructionis not adhered to properly and accordingly that correction is triggered or applied in order to make such instruction to be free from error or mistake in the course of its being discharged.

It is a known fact that as human,we are fallible and prone to mistakes and errors which made any source or traces of correction of any committed by us to be as important as the given instruction itself.

Light beckons and our horizon enlarges when we adhered to corrections in details without any form of resentment and reluctance.

The channels of correction might be from any source and it might be at any given point in time but no matter what the source or channel looks like, no matter how irrelevant the timing and contents of the correction might be,our response to the contents and contexts of the particular correction matters because it is a viable determinant of the outcome of the correction.

It is when the outcome of the correction is in tandem,in alignment and in consonance with the given instruction that we all agreed that progress has been made in our efforts to make neccessary impacts on a given assignment or given endeavour.

Your response to a corresponding correction determines the corresponding outcome.Corresponding to a corresponding correction determines corresponding outcome.

Adhering and accepting correction is always difficult and it is a virtue that is scarce in this generation whereby humility and simplicity has become paleolithic and archaic.

Being corrected and accepting to adhere and pay the needed sacrifice is a product and outcome of humility, simplicity,humaness,understanding and maturity.

All these are virtues and values that have gone into extinction with the little traces of any one of it becoming a luxury that the millenia cannot afford to abide by and cope with.

Abiding by any form of correction without resentment,reluctance and complaints takes discipline and sacrifice.

Errors committed without the approprriate commitment to correction of such errors constitute a cancerous clogs that will become a viscious cycle of contaminants that will aid prolong spread and extension of such errors till it becomes a culture confined deeply in the totality of any individual who seems to be oblivious and unconcerned about the effects of such errors thereby making the entirety of such individual’s life conditioned to permanent phases of errors.

A life that accepts coorection easily and cheaply without any form of cuddling,pampering and enforcement is can simply be described as a disciplined and a matured one.

Discipline, I would break it down here means:

“Doing what is right and what you like”

Do you see how that word is?

It doesn’t seem to be sweet or easy.Everyone desires to do what they like,but do you also know that sometimes, what we like or what we want can be a source of danger to us unknowingly?

Get this the person who takes time to correct you is that person that understands that you are yound and have your own ‘likes’ but takes it upon himself or herself to streamline your ‘likes’ and desires in order to pull you off the path or radar of perdition and destruction thereby making you to see reasons why you should be on the right path or on the radar of self discovery that will announce how matured you are in the course of your existence.

Have you ever thought about why lots of young people dislike or hate anyone who push them to be serious and studious?

Why do young minds tag those who try to push them out of their comfort zones into being useful for themselves as heartless,wicked, hard and harsh?

It’s simple.

This is simply because as human being, we are wired for pleasure which is against any form of pressure that is attached to any form of correction.

Correction as it is, no matter how inconsequential it is, when adhered to brings you out of darkness and obscurity, and then lace you into limelight whereby honour and success becomes the order of the day.

One of the days I cannot easily forget in a rush as a yound person was on an occassion when my high school director had to correct me openly.I was late for the normal morning assembly and devotion which was always held at the school compound.

Unfortuanately for me,that morning, I was feeling unusually funny and unnecessarily tired,fagged out,weak and irritated over nothing exactly.It was a proper mood for lazy students actually.Akind of mood swing.It wasn’t like I has a personal challenge as such.I was taught manners in the hard way.If only you knew the way I was sluggishly dragging my foot as if I was not going to face the task of the day before I was called to order.That was what I felt like doing or maybe what I chose to do but it wasn’t the right thing to do.I had the option of walking smartly and putting myself together through self-discipline but I was doing what I felt like doing.I got corrected immediately but at that point,I thought he was a wicked person but I was wrong, so wrong.

Infact that correction gave me a lasting effect.Those who knew me personally or have come in contact with me physically can tell that I am up and doing.

On your own part, it may not be as similar as mine, but in essence, take it,accept it,it is not always pleasant but I tell you this, it brings out the best and the gold in you.

You must understand that those who correct you today,loves you and are trying in their own capacity to connect you with the beauty and with the reality of your destiny.

They are willing to displease you and even loose their familiarity, friendship and companionship rather than seeing your destruction.These set of people can do bitter things just to make you and mold you into maturity thereby making you to become a complete person that will not end up becoming a burden and a source of concern to the entire human race.

At the point of being useful, responsible, responsive and matured in the right direction, you may call the experience obtainable in the process as being bitter but as time passes by, those memories will become sweet at last.

On the other hand, those who hate you will allow you and give you a free hand in doing whatever is pleasing to you.

It is high time you understand that every praise is not good and every criticism is not bad or evil.

If you really ant to make a good place in the journey of life,whenever you are corrected, take it,sit down and then reflects on what you were corrected about.

Pick out your weaknesses from what you were corrected about and act positively upon it.When you do that ,you have just helped yourself out of a weak point because of your humility to pick up correction and then you end up becoming better and your race to fulfill your aspiration in life ends up becoming a reality.

IT WILL SOON BE OVER.—(8 MINUTES READ).

Recently, I was in the middle of discharging my official duty that needs random sampling.Hence, the need to make use of a razor blade ensued but while using the razor blade,it cut lightly into my skin in one of my fingers.

Since the cut was light,I waved it and think it was minor.Hence, I continued cutting my sample till I finished it.

As I was leaving the point of sampling, I realized that blood is coming out, though not too much but I expected it to stop after a while without the application of any medication.

I got down to the office to commence analysis and reporting on the sample taken a while ago and all I realised was that the blood coming out became unabated.

After few minutes of my expectation being dashed, I quickly went to apply Methylated Spirit in order for the blood coming out to dwindle but reverse was the case because the blood coming out failed to stop despite the methylated spirit applied.

I became infuriated with this reality because it keeps wasting my time and prevented me from attending to the analysis of the sample taken and I kept using Toilet Tissue to hold the blood coming out from staining the sample taken and the fresh report sheet in my hand.

It was really frustrating.

At a point, after being disturbed by the unabated blood coming out from the cut, I was forced to opt for the usage of a particular flammable solvent called thinner.Despite the application,the discharge persisited.

Then, I accepted my fate and continued with the discharge of my duty.

After a while, I checked and to my utmost surprise,cut dried up and blood has stopped coming out.

At the end of this experience,I had an inspiration while I was reminiscing on what I passed through in the course of the day and I decided to use it to inspire all my viewers, readers and followers who are passing through one experience or the other.

I just want you to know that it will soon be over.Every inconvenient experience or reality is bound to expire and fizzle out because no condition is permanent.

Often times than none, one could likened the experience life throw at us as similar as the cut I had in the course of the day.The experience might be short and small just like the cut I had which is very small and not too deep.Hence, we handle it lightly as something that will not take time before it will stop and fade away.So, we are less bothered and concerned about its effect on our existence.

As time goes on, we begin to become concerned as the experience keeps occupying our time gradually and we realise that we are becoming inconvenient and uncomfortable with its effect.Then, we start looking for solution but it always defers any form of solution and the unfortunate experience lingers on with it counting days and time.

This made us to look at life in a way and in a manner whereby we think our existence in the process of time is not worth a while and the excruciating reality of such unfortunate experience lingers on without any meaningful means by which solution can be proferred.

Yes!!!

It is always like that.

I want you to know that while such experience lingers, if you can manage to focus on the better side of life,you might end up becoming better doing better things for your life.

It is pertinent to know that you should not allow the pain of today to stand as an obstacle in achieving your goals in life.While you are passing through such an harrowing life experience, it is important to look beyond such experience by focussing more on what will make you better in life, this might make you live your life above the demand of such harrowing experience which might want to fester in a way to shift your focus about life.

Life becomes beautiful if you can endeavour to make the best out of life by remaining unrepentant in making sure that your goals,aspiration and desire is achieved no matter what the distraction caused by harrowing life experience might be dictating and demanding for.

No matter the strength of the pain, no matter the depth of its effect and no matter the longevity of such pain, I want you to understand that if you can shift your mind from its impact on your existence,it will fizzle out unnannounced within a little period of time.

For the upteenth time, it will soon be over.

Just calm down.

Stop fidgetting.

Stop fretting.

Life is beautiful.

Run your race.

And your race will mortify your pain.

Light will shine at the end of the tunnel.

Never give up!

Never throw in the towel.

Your thirst and yearnings for the beauty of divinity and the reality of eternity while on earth make men seek your attention concerning every affair of life because the spiritual has the midas touch of turning whatever is present and available in the physical to a source of help and a source of hope for anyone who believed that the spiritual superceed the physical in all ramification.

The possibility of the emergence of the glory of God in your life is strictly through your connectivity with divinity.No one radiates and reflects God’s purpose for humanity without any knowledge about divinity and it is the consciousness of your relationship with the concepts of spirituality that enhances the establishment of divine enablement and spiritual empowerment necessary to tackle and efface the myriads of challenges being faced by the entire mankind presently and in the years to come.

SECURITY:MARK ZUCKERBERG ADMITS FACEBOOK ‘MADE MISTAKES’–BUT THEY WON’T HAPPEN AGAIN,HONEST.—(5 MINUTES READ).

Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of under-fire social networking firm Facebook, has finally emerged from his bunker to admit that his company “made mistakes”over sharing users’ data with third parties.

Or rather,Zuckerberg has finally posted something about the Cambridge Analytica affair on his own personal Facebook page.It follows claims that the data analysis company had harvested personal data from 50million Facebook users in a not entirely starightforward manner.

“The goodnews is that the most important actions to prevent this from happenning again today we have already years ago,”Zuckerberg claimed,referring to changes made to Facebook’s developer platform policies in 2014 that stopped app developers from gathering data about friends of people using their apps.

However,before these changes were made four years ago, University academic Aleksandr Kogan-in collaboration with Cambridge Analytica-built an app called ‘This is your digital life’ that paid around 300,000 users to take a personality test and agree to have their data xcollected for academic use.

The app, however,also collected the information of the test-takers’Facebook friends, which led to thye accummulation of data pool “tens of million strong”.

In 2015, we learned from journalists at The Guardian that Kogan had shared data from his app with Cambridge Analytica,”Zuck admitted.

“We immediately banned Kogan’s app from our platform and demanded that Kogan and Cambridge Analytica formally certify that they had deleted all improperly acquired data.They provided these certifications.

“Last week, we learned from The Guardian,The New York Times and Channel 4 that the Cambridge Analytica may not have deleted the data as they had certified,”he added.

Zuckerberg went to pledge that, while it has already moved to “prevent bad actors from accessing people’s information”,the social network will be taking further steps to protect user data.

Just like he promised back in 2012 following an investigation by the US Federal Trade Commision.

“First, we will investigate all apps that had access to large amounts of information before we changed our platform to dramatically reduce data access in 20144,and we will conduct a full audit of any app with suspicious activity,”Zuck says,adding:”We will ban any developer from our platform that does not agree to a thorough audit”.

Facebook has already blocked Kogan,who claims he’s being “scapegoated’ whistleblower Chris Wylie and,naturally,Cambridge Analytica,despite the firms claims that it’s, er, did nothing wrong.

Zuckerberg continues:”We will restrict developers’data access even further to prevent other kinds of abuse.For example, we will remove developers’ access to your data if you haven’t used their app in three months.

“We will reduce the data you give an app when you sign in—to only your name,profile,photo,and email address.”

Zuckerberg went on to promise that the company will be more transparent over data usage, and will show remaining Facebook users “a tool at the top of your News Feed with the apps you’ve used and an easy way to revoke those apps’permissions to your data”.

Or could just delete your account and be done with.That’s exactly what Brian Action,the co-founder of Whatsapp made a billionaire by Facebook’s $19billion acquisition of his company,has recommended if you want to put a stop,once and for all, to Facebook’s rapacious data slurping.

IT WILL SOON BE OVER.—(8 MINUTES READ).

Since the cut was light,I waved it and think it was minor.Hence, I continued cutting my sample till I finished it.

As I was leaving the point of sampling, I realized that blood is coming out, though not too much but I expected it to stop after a while without the application of any medication.

I got down to the office to commence analysis and reporting on the sample taken a while ago and all I realised was that the blood coming out became unabated.

It was really frustrating.

Then, I accepted my fate and continued with the discharge of my duty.

After a while, I checked and to my utmost surprise,cut dried up and blood has stopped coming out.

I just want you to know that it will soon be over.Every inconvenient experience or reality is bound to expire and fizzle out because no condition is permanent.

Yes!!!

It is always like that.

I want you to know that while such experience lingers, if you can manage to focus on the better side of life,you might end up becoming better doing better things for your life.

For the upteenth time, it will soon be over.

Just calm down.

Stop fidgetting.

Stop fretting.

Life is beautiful.

Run your race.

THE WRONG MOTIVE—EPISODE EIGHT.—(20 MINUTES READ).

CHAPTER ONE.

Bye for now…Tony bid Tricia farewell.

Bye and take good care of yourself…Tricia replied.

While Tony was away to work, Tricia was busy cleaning and dusting the entire house that Tony was living in.The heaps of dirts that was removed in the course of the general sanitation and cleaning was overwhelming that it kept Tricia on her feet working like a Trojan from the morning to the aftrenoon of Tuesday.

While Tony was in the office,he find it difficult concentrating on his duty because he is yet to recover from the thought of having a stranger living with him and only God knows when Tricia will get a place to live so that Tony will be able to breathe a sigh of relief.

Tony was also in quandary of what to do because he thinks that Tricia is a lady that is gradually becoming part of his life and he noticed that both of them have a soft spot for each other but Tony controlled himself by telling himself how immature he is to be thinking along the line of becoming emotionally attached with a lady that he barely knew recently.

While Tricia was busy making sure that everything in Tony’s apartment is in order, she started thinking at a point towards how generous and benevolent Tony is for allowing a stranger he barely knew to be staying underneath his roof.

Tricia!!!…Tony called Tricia through his office phone.

I am fine and cool..Tricia replied.

Hope you are not bored?….Tony probed further.

I have been busy cleaning, dusting and rearranging the entire house since you left in the morning….Tricia updated Tony about happenings in the house.

Have you eaten at all?…Tony asked.

Eat….I have even forgotten…I have just been busy….Tricia replied.

Kindly, find something to eat…There should be something in the kitchen you can lay your mouth on in the kitchen or probably check your refrigerator….Tony adviced.

Ok!!!

I will do just that immediately I am done with what I am doing…Tricia replied.

I got to go,see you later in the day…Tony bid farewell.

Thanks…Enjoy your day….Tricia replied.

Then, Tony hung the phone and got back to his work.

While at work, Tony helped Tricia to check on the Human Resource Manager asking him about Tricia’s submission of her letter of posting which she submitted through the Human Resources Manager’s receptionist a day before.

The Human Resource Manager was confirmed the reception of the letter and still affirmed that Tricia should come around the following day to pick up her confirmation letter and make sure she resume duty fully the following week on Monday.

Thank you Sir…Tony appreciated the Human Resource Manager.

Never mind…Human Resource Manager replied.

Tony!!!!….Human Resource Manager exclaimed.

Where on earth do you know that pretty lady…Human Resource Manager.

At this point, Tony was blushing and he can not hide his shyness because the question from the Human Resource Manager was unexpected and shocking but after few seconds of being caught unaware, Tony summoned courage and answered the question thrown to him by the Human Resource Manager.

She is just a normal friend I ran into the day she came around to drop her letter of posting for primary assignment.We talked, known each other and since then she has been a sister and a friend to me.I just took it as a responsibility to help her know what is going on about the letter she submitted.Everything about her and me is platonic, no string attached and the relationship at this stage can never be squalid because she is still a stranger to me to a large extent but we have been able to get along well for this couple of days.

She seems to be a good lady….Tony concluded.

Alright!!!!…The Human Resource Manager answered Tony.I just feel like keeping myself abreast of the situation on ground and you have been able to defend yourself to a large extent.She is so lucky that she is going to be the only Corp Member that will be given chance for primary assignment in this company this year.She seems to be fortunate.That was why I want to know maybe she knows someone here and since you have been able to explain to a large extent how you know her and what you knew about her, I think you will be in the best position to append your signatory for her in the attestation column of the forms she is going to fill next week for due processing of her employment letter and other biodata.

That’s so nice of you Sir…I really appreciate your concern…Thanks a bunch Sir…Tony replied.

Immediately, Tony went back to his seat and continued his daily duty but while on seat, he was just disturbed about the present reality on ground and he kept engaging in a continuous deep thinking and soliloquizing.

Tony kept talking to himself…..

Hmmmm….Just as the Human Resource Manager mentioned.She seems to be beautiful and pretty.Initially, I didn’t noticed it, it was as if my face and mind were covered with a veil until the Human Resource Manager mentioned it.Honestly, she is a damsel.

Ok!!!

No problem.One thing at a time….Tony concluded and face his duty.

While working, something in Tony’s mind whispered to him that he should engaged his right hand man about this new development during lunch time again.

I will do just that….Tony concluded.

Immediately,Tony pushed a call on the phone to Titus and he made another arrangement for both of them to meet at Madam “The Spoon” Canteen just the way they it was yesterday.

No problem Tony…Titus replied.

I will be there on one condition…Titus continued.

What is the condition bro…Tony asked.

You will foot my bill….Titus replied.

No problem pal…Tony consented to Titus proposal.

Thanks bro…I appreciate…You are God’s sent…Tony showed gratitude.

Don’t mention bro….What are we friends for..Titus replied.

CHAPTER TWO.

You don’t mean it…Titus exclaimed.

Are you sure of what you are saying?…Tony asked further.

Yeah!!!..Tony replied.

It happened immediately we departed after break time yesterday on my way to my office.I ran into her immediately she was attended to by the Human Resource Manager’s reception and by the time we broke the ice, she was able to narrate her predicament and ordeal to me,at the end of her narration, I saw through her eyes a lady that is confused and desperately in a need of a shoulder to bear the brunch of the heavy load situation around her placed on her.I really pitied her and consented to offer her a solution in my own way which I explained to her.Though, she reluctantly consented to the proposal but she realized she has no option at the moment, so she openned her arm in acceptance of the offer.Though, I have been watching and testing her to know if she is a good lady or not but she seems to be a good lady to me.Not that I have any feeling and emotional attachment with her but it was as if there is a veil covering my eyes until the Human Resource Manager used the word “pretty” while talking about her this morning.And since then, my eyes were opened and I have been deeply thinking about her and sincerely she is really beautiful, a product of the best natural artistic creature.

Hmmm…..Quite funny…My teeth are out already in laughter…My friend is already catching cold of love….Titus started talking and at thesame time making jest of Tony.

This one that you are even serious about this pretty lady.I would like to meet the lady before I will give you my advice whether to go ahead or not but since she is under your roof, you don’t have to be bothered.Just keep watching her and keep being a good friend to her on a platonic ground.

Less I forget…Titus continued.

What about the one we discussed about at this same time and at this same place yesterday that you promised to meet on Sunday in the church….Titus asked.

Are you jettissioning the plan already….Titus probed further.

You have just hit the nail on the head…Tony answered.

This is one of the bone of contention that is making me to be in quandary about the situation around me that made me to seek your advice.I am not laying the plan aside.My mind is still with her and I am meeting her on Sunday….Tony replied.

And this one that we have used Monday and Tuesday lunch time to discuss about ladies and love,I hope we will not use the whole of this week to discuss issues about one lady or the other?Hope tommorrow and next tommorrow’s afternoon will not be for another damsel again?….Titus kept making mockery of Tony and he kept laughing widly to the point that it attracted others that are eating in the canteen.

You are not in anyway serious Titus…Tony replied.

You have turned me to your source of entertainment and comedy?..Tony continued.

Anyway,you are still my right-hand man…No hassle….You can use me to do whatever you like…Tony continued.

You have to make sure that you call on me another time for business issues.We should not be using our lunch time discussing ladies only.Hope you get my drift?…Titus continued.

I got your drift bro…Tony responded.

They both left the canteen feeling refreshed and calmed, though it was already getting to the end of lunch time.Both Tony and Titus walked slowly back to the company’s premises gisting and making jest of each other.

Meanwhile,Tricia has been able to finish the domestic chores that had engaged her since morning and now, she is busy preparing food in the kitchen.

Then around 2:30pm, Tony called her again from the office to get acquainted with her welfare.

How are you Tricia?…Tony asked.

Are you done with what you are doing since morning?….Tony asked further.

Yeah!!!I am done…Tricia responded.I am busy preparing rice and stew now.

Alright….Tony replied.Just feel at home and take good care of yourself.I will soon be around….Tony stopped and bid her goodbye.

See you soon…Tricia replied.

As Tricia was busy putting things together in the kitchen, she started entertaining and being weighed down by the thought of how Tony has been nice to her for the past days without any signal of him taken advantage of her in anyway.

He seems to be a nice guy that is neat and clean in all his ways…Tricia murmured.

I guess he is well-mannered, he might be engaged to someone but I think the person might be out of town.Such a good guy with a good job like this can never be single without any relationship.So, I need to be swift in looking for a way to have my own accommodation once I started collecting National Youth Service Corp allowance and the one that would be paid by my place of primary assignment.I would not want his fiancee to be in town and I would be scampering for safety of where to put my head.He has done well by being my angel and I will forever be grateful to him for being considerate in listening to me and consenting to put me under his roof without any demand.

I am somehow fortunate and lucky to have run into him.I think it is divine that I met him.How will I have cope if I didn’t meet him and if he was not patient enought to listen to me and understand my predicament despite the fact that I am just a stranger that he didn’t know anything about me.

Thanks to Tony….Tricia continued talking to herself loudly without any control until she felt that she is becoming unconscious and the food she is preparing started burning.

Later when the food was done, she served herself on the dinning and Tricia devour the plate of food speedily.Then, she went to the bathroom to clean up and take good care of herself expecting Tony to come back from work.

She also dished portion of the rice for Tony but kept it inside food warmer because she was not sure if there will be public light to operate microwave when Tony comes back from work.

THE WRONG MOTIVE—EPISODE SEVEN—(12 MINUTES READ).

CHAPTER ONE.

Bike!!!

A bike commonly called okada parked to pick the duo of Tony and Tricia in the front of the company’s gate.

Can you please take us to No 10, Dolphin Street….Tony engaged an Okada man.

No wahala Sir…Okadaman responded.

My money is 200naira for both of you…the Okada man charged them.

No!!!I am paying 150naira….Tony responded.

While Tony and the Okadaman were busy discussing the transport fare, Tricia was just carried away looking at what is going on and at thesame time,she is somehow bothered about the step she is taking at the moment which looked somehow scary and strange.

Though, while Tricia was in school, she has not taken such a step before but she had heard many of her female colleagues narrating similar experiences.While some of them are lucky, majority ended up becoming a pawn in the hands of randy men.

With one mind, she agreed to the offer and joined Tony with the Okadaman to No 10, Dolphin Street,

Zooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm……the okada man speed off and after about ten minutes later,the Okada man halted and parked infront of Tony’s house.

Is this the place Sr…Okada man asked.

Yeah!!!This is the place.Kindly allow us to alight and come down…Tony replied.

You can have your money…Tony paid #150 naira.

Thank you Sir…the Okada man showed his appreciation and zoom off in a twinkling of an eye.

Is this your place of residence…Tricia broke the long silence in other to garner more confidence and forget her fear which has already made her quiet since.

Yea!!!

This is my place…Tony replied.

Oh!!!

What a modest beautiful place you have….Tricia commended.

Thanks!!My sister…Everybody always commend that I was lucky to have such an apartment as a place vof abode.

Yea!!! Of a truth, you are very lucky….Tricia replied.

Let’s go inside…Tony asked Tricia.

No problem…Both Tony and Tricia took few steps from the gate of the house and moved slowly to the front door but while they were walking inside, Tricia was just looking around and amazed at the beauty and neatness of the house.

This is my living room…Tony starts introducing each of the rooms to august visitor .This is my kitchen,this is the first bedroom and the second bedroom which I am using is over there but the first one belong to you for now.

There is abundance of food in the kitchen and you can go in there and get yourself satisfied,just make sure that you tell me whenever any of the food item finished, so that I can replace and make necessary provision for them.

We have one toilet by the living room while all the bedrooms are ensuite.and whenever you feel like relaxing, you can make use of the veranda.

I think I have gone a long way introducing you to my apartment and I believe that you can get yourself comfortable in the house whenever I am not around.

Eventhough,Tony tried as much as he could within his capacity to make Tricia comfortable, the thought of being under thesame roof with someone who she barely knew makes her somehow go gaga but she tried to bottle it so that Tony will not be aware.

As Tricia’s mind was being occupied with fearful thoughts,Tony was having his own share of fear that made him to keep asking himself whether his motive was right or wrong by coming home and offering accomodation to a lady he doesn’t know from anywhere in the world apart from the fact that they met and talked few hours ago.

So, feel at home and make yourself comfortable…Tony continued.

I am going inside to undress and make myself comfortable….Tony told Tricia.

As Tony was leaving Tricia for his bedroom, Tricia has no choice other than be appreciative to Tony for giving her place to put her head for the main time but her mind is still about popping out of her mouth because she has become really thoughtful and fearful of what could end as an outcome of her motive that keeps haunting her presently.

Tony immediately turned back and made his way to the door knob of his bedroom, opened the door and went inside to undress but before he started undressing, he made sure that he locked his door tightly from the back because of the fear of the unknown.

As Tony turned back from Tricial and made his way to his bedroon door,Tricia also sluggishly moved slowly inch by inch to the bedroom that Tony introduced her to as her bedroom.Due to fearfulness and thoughtfulness, Tricia’s pace while walking was snailry but she ended up opening the door knob and peep into her newly introduced bedroom.

Whao…Tricia exclaimed.

What a nice bedroom..Tricia was elevated into joyful mood because of the beauty and modesty that popped to her face when she stepped into her bedroom.

Immediately, she entered, she knocked the door from the back, fling her small bag and jumped on the bed in happiness that the bedroom is cosy, comfortable and convenient.

Few minutes after, she undressed, took her bath and put on casual wear. She started reminiscing about her day that has been stressful and hectic with her not having an inkling in the morning that she could finally get a place to put her head.

Later,after an hour of being inside his room being busy arranging his room, Tony came out and knocked on Tricia door.

Ko!Ko!!Ko!!!…..Tricia! Tricia!!Tricia!!!

Can I see you outside…Tony asked.

I am coming…Tricia replied.

Immediately, Tricia jumped up from her bed because she is already dozing off, open the door and come outside to attend to Tony.

Are you sleeping…Tony probed.

Yeah!!! Tricial replied.

I am just taking a nap….Tricia continued.

Sorry for disturbing you…Tony responded.

I just think we should start making preparartion for dinner….Tony continued.

Ok!!!

What do we have…Tricial asked.

Let’s go to the Kitchen and check the refrigerator in the passage to check what we can make use of in preparartion for the dinner.

After this, both Tony and Tricia swayed together and checked the refrigerator to confirm the kind of food items and ingredients they can make use of for dinner.

With what I am seing now, cooking ordianry rice will be alright…Tony exclaimed.

Ok!!!

Rice will be the best this night..Tricia responded.

Both Tony and Tricia started offloading the refrigerator for the necessary ingredient that will be needed in the Kitchen to prepare dinner.

After one hour in the kitchen, dinner was ready and it was served by Tony on the dinning and both ate their food being somehow silent and shy of each other.

After dinner,the day was well spent,both sat down in the living room till 9pm watching different channels on Cable TV but they were both finding it difficult to break the ice and they maintained a modest and serious discussion throughout.

Then, both bid each other goodnight…

They went separately to their different bedroom…

And slept off, after a hectic day.

Tiffany!!!

Where are you…Tiffany’s mum called.

I and your dad are waiting for you .

Kindly come out now….

Ma! Sir!…Tiffany responded.

I am all ears…I am coming…

I will soon be with you in a second.

After some minutes, Tiffany showed up and meet her parents at the backyard relaxing and gisting on a cool sunday evening.

Here I am…Tiffany started.

What do we have here..Tiffany continued.

My daughter!!!…Tiffany’s dad interrupted.

I believed you remember that you made a promise while in the kitchen in the afternoon that you will answer some of our questions that your mum said you were trying to dodge.

Can you remember…Tiffany’s mum asked.

Yeah!!!I can remember vividly.

What are the questions all about…Tiffany probed further.

Ok!!!

My darling daughter…Tiffany’s mum started.

You have answered and briefed me about happennings in the school this afternoon but you didn’t talked about who exactly has been disturbing you in the school.Eventhough, we sent you to school to be studious and serious withn your academics but we believe that by now that you are of age and you are already getting to a point whereby you will become a barrister, we believed that by now, someone should have been standing by your side a a friend.

What kind of friend are you talking about Ma…Tiffany asked her mum.

I have so many friends in the school, both male and female and you knew some of them but I didn’t understand why you are asking about them in this way.I am beginning to be suspicious now.

Ok!!!Tiffany’s dad replied her.

Lat me break it down for you and helped your mum out.

Your mum is asking you about a kind of friendship that made I and your mum to end up becoming husband and wife.

In a nutshell, Tiffany….Who is your boyfriend or your fiance?

Daddy!!!!

What are you talking about?…Tiffany asked.

At this point, Tiffany became blushing and shy of such an unexpected question.

It took her time to fashion a way out to give answer to their question and at a point, she was in quandary because she didn’t want to disappoint her parents due to the fact that their expectation was high from her.She could see it on their faces that they expected her to have someone of her own now since she is already in the final lap of her academics in the university.

We are waiting for an answer….Mum asked.

Hmmm…..Tiffany sighed.

I am sorry Ma!

I am sorry Sir!!

I have none…I am still still believing God for the right one at the right time with the right intention of walking with me on the isle to tie the knuptial knot.

Are you serious…Tiffany’s mum ccn not hold her disappointment.She was in awe and dumbfounded.

At this point, Tiffany was also disappointed with herself.

How I wish I have one now…Tiffany murmured.

While this was ongoing, as Tiffany’s dad noticed such a down moment with Tiffany and her mum.Tiffany’s dad interrupted with laughter and salvage their situation on ground by encouraging Tiffany telling her to be patient and keep being a good lady she is that at the right time, the right man with the right intention will surface.

It is just a matter of patience and time…Tiffany’s dad concluded.

Ok!!

I have you sir…Tiffany replied.

Thanks dad…I appreciate.

Let’s forget it.I don’t want a down moment here.Let’s forget it and talk about another thing entirely.

And the cool sunday evening relaxation and gist between Tiffany and her parents continued and rolled on till when darkness took over and everybody went inside to make preparation for dinner.

Despite, Tiffany’s dad effort in salvaging the situation raised in the course of the discussion, Tiffany’s mood went flat and her mum too was somehow bothered.

Dinner was served, everybody gathered for bedtime prayer after watching Television programmes.

And the day ended.

WHY ARE YOU IDLE?—(10 MINUTES READ).

I spent part of my time in the course of last week attending to a sort of issue that has to do with my help in putting mind into a personal issue that has to do with a familiar being reported to me about her view concerning what she is passing through at the moment.

Interestingly,I found myself being called to attend to an issue through a phone call yesterday but at the end of the day while ruminating on the content of my versed and lengthy discussion on the phone, my mind was inspired along a certain random line of thought which resulted into a kind of deep rumination and I kept on asking myself thesame question.

At the end of my rumination, the title of this publication popped up into my consciousness and I asked myself this question.

How can someone be idle for so long doing nothing productively?

Lets embark on a story-line that will lay bare what exactly transpired in the course of my discussion on the phone.

Tolani has graduated a couple of years ago precisely since 2009 from one of the best university in Nigeria and she had her degree in one of the humanities.Since graduation from the university, she has been hell bent looking for a good job, a kind of job that is commonly referred to as dream job.

It can never be submitted to be a wrong desire for anyone to have the kind of dream Tolani had in terms of job she is looking for.It is a normal thing and even almost every young graduate has been seen to be guilty of this wishful thinking at one point or the other.

As time goes on and as the days keeps adding up,her desire and dream of getting her dream job keeps becoming a source of hope and a mirage because she needs no dibia for her to understand and comprehend that such a dream might take eternity to be fulfilled.

Though, she is not to be blamed for beibg hopeful for a better and a brighter day but she is expected to understand some basic realities of life and one of it says:

“When the preferrable is not available, the available becomes preferrable”.

The inability of Tolani to reason along this line of thought became a foolishness on her part by refusing to take up some jobs that came on her way, though these sets of jobs are far below her expectation but she was expected to understand that a drop of water with sand makes a mighty ocean.

Inspite the numbers of years she has spent fruitfulessly in search of job, till now she is still busy hoping for a day when a particular dream job will surface from the blue sky.

It is a known fact and it is a common global imbalance and disorder that unemployment is on the rise across the length and breadth of the entire world.Unemployment and under-employment is a social malaise that is ravaging the existence of humanity without any possible solution in view.

Though, many societies across the world are making necessary efforts to curb the effect of unemployment, other societies could be concluded to have no inkling of what could be done to nib the scourge of unemployment in the bud especially in the continent of Africa.

And one of such country in the continent of Africa is Nigeria.

Unemployment Rate in Nigeria increased to 18.80 percent in the third quarter of 2017 from 16.20 percent the second quarter of 2017.

Unemployment Rate in Nigeria avaraged 10.63 percent from 2016 until 2017 reaching an all time of 19.70 percent in the fourth quarter of 2009 and a record low of 5.10 percent in the fourth quarter of 2010.

Unemployment is often used as a measure of the health of the economy.The most frequently measure of unemployment is the unemployment rate,which is the number of unemployed people divided by the number of people in the labour force.

Unemployment is the situation of actively looking for employment but not being currently employed.The unemployment rate is a measure of the prevalence of unemployment it is calculated as a percentage.

In Nigeria, while some people are unemployed, others are underemployed with take home pay not conmesurate enough to meet up with daily personal and economic needs and other forms of exigencies.

Eventhough, the scourge of unemployment has been somehow difficult to be curtailed and curbed, it is important and pertinent for everyone concerned and those who are in search of job to be up and doing by making sure that they are creatively and productively involved in one economic endeavour or the other.

It is quite wrong and unacceptable as a form of motive and idea for anyone who is on the line of seeking employment to be caught up in the web of idleness because many of the people concerned are found of giving excuses that they are waiting and expecting their dream job, hence they fold their arms doing nothing.

While you await that dream job that will meet up with your expectation and aspirations with salary rolling up to six digits figure,it can never be bead, if you get yourself engaged practically and productively with any form of human endeavour that will give little to you before the actualisation of your dream job becomes a reality.

According to common parlance:

“A single bird at hand is more than millions in the forest”.

Often times than none, the actualisation of your dream job always take time before it materialised but before the reality unfold, one needs to be engaged practically, productively and economically in a simple way that will enhance and ensure your chances of not being found idle.

Having your dream job could be concluded to be a blessing from God but it should be known to anyone seeking God’s blessing that the emergence of God’s blessing always prosper on the fact that the person seeking such must be found doing something meaningful that is a source of value-addition.

The blessing of God can never multiply on nothing, it multiplies on something tangible because no matter how many times you multiply zero with something, the end result will be zero forever but when the blessings of God meet the little in your hands, it ends up expanding and enlarging.

You have to be busy doing something contributory and productively no matter how little it is for you to solve the issue of underemployment and unemployment that has been starring at you over a long period of time.

Get busy and stop being idle.

Idleness kills!!!

Get busy!!!

Get something doing.

Time waits for no one.

Don’t be like Tolani.

THE WRONG MOTIVE—EPISODE 6.—(12 MINUTES READ).

CHAPTER ONE.

Good Morning Sir!!!

I am looking for Global Resources Limited.

Am I at the right place Sir?….Tricia asked.

Yeah!!!

You are at the right place….the security man replied.

Who do you seek?

I would like to drop my National Youth Service Corp posting letter to the Human Resource Manager…Tricia continued.

Ok!!!…replied the security man

I will direct you now to the Administrative block and when you get there, just relate with the receptionist, she should be able to answer all your questions one after the other.

Thank you Sir…Tricia bid the security guard farewell.

As Tricia was being ushered into the Administrative block to drop her posting letter to Human Resources Manager at the Administrative block, her mind was just busy thinking about the stress she passed through in locating the company and also what could be the outcome of her meeting with the Human Resources Manager.

Ko!Ko!!Ko!!!…Tricia Knocked at the Reception.

You can come in….a lady-like voice asked her to open the door and come inside.

Good day Ma…Tricia greeted.

How are you?

What can I do for you young woman….the receptionist asked.

Thank you Ma….Tricia replied.

I have been posted from the National Youth Service Corp to drop my posting letter with the Human Resources Manager.

Ok!

Can I see the letter….the receptionist asked for the letter.

Later, Tricia dropped the letter with her and she promised to forward it to the Human Resource Manager for processing but asked her to check back in two day’s time.

You can check back in two day’s time…the receptionist gave her a promise.

Thank you Ma..Tricia replied.

I will surely call back….Tricia promised.

As Tricia was about leaving the receptionist, she was faced with a reality she has been trying to dodge since the moment she left the orientation camp.

Tricia is out of cash and her posting to her place of primary assignment with the time that has being wasted in locating the company has made her to run out of time.Time is really running out and it is already getting late.Now, she is faced with a situation whereby she didn’t know where she would put her head for the night.

While she was in the midst of thinking and fashioning a way out of the situation on ground, she nearly bumped into someone unconsciously.

Hope there is no problem Ma… a male voice asked her a question.

Sorry Sir…Tricia responded.

I am just lost in thought.

Ok!

Hope you are good?….Tony asked.

As Tony and Titus was about getting back to the office, as Tony was about openning the door to his office,Tricia nearly knocked him off unknowingly but the situation was salvaged because Tony was able to see her from afar and he styishly dogded her from hittin him with her head because Tricia was lost in thought looking down and walking at thesame time.

Despite the reply from Tricia,Tony was not satisfy with her reply and Tony has to run after her and stopped her to engage her in a chat because the look on her face says it all that all is not well with her at that moment.

Hello, Pretty face…Tony started chatting with her.

Though, I am a little bit late to resume in the office after break-time but I am not satisfied with the look on your face at all.I believe there is more to the look on your face than your reply when I asked about your welfare some few minutes ago.

Please, I am all hears, I would like listening to you and maybe I can come in in anyway and offer the needed assistance.

Never mind…Tricia replied.

I don’t want to bother you and place a burden on someone who is a stranger to me…Tricia continued.

Sorry for my poor attitude.I didn’t tell you my name on time.

I’m Tony by name and I am an Administrative Officer in this company.

Can I meet you please….Tony asked.

I am Tricia.I come around to drop my National Youth Service Corp Posting letter with your Human Resources Manager.Though, he wasn’t on seat but his receptionist promised that I should check back in two day’s time which is Wednesday.

Ok!Hope her response and demeanour are positive abd encouraging…Tony asked.

Yeah!!!

She attended to me very well and I believed she will keep to her promise.I will be right back on Wednesday but….Tricia paused.

Why did you paused…Tony asked.

I don’t want to bother you with my personal issues…Tricia responded.

Why now!!!Why are you doing this now….Tony responded.

At least, we are no longer strange to each other.You knew my name and I know yours too.I think this is enough for us to leave the stage of being a stranger to the stage of being a close friend.

Can we be good friend…Tony requested.

Hmmmmm…..I am somehow scared.I barely know you now…Tricia continued.

Yea!!!I know that we are knew to each other..Tony gave her assurance of his seriousness.

Ok!!!

No problem.Let’s start from being friend on a platonic level.

Nothing again at least for now….Tricia responded.

I don’t know how you will see and viewed my proposal because we are just meeting today and I don’t want to be too forward so that you will not think that I am trying to play a fast one on you or I don’t want you to think I am making use of the opportunity on ground to cheat you.

What are you talking about Tony…Tricia asked.

I need help now and I am less concerned with the source of the help.I f you can give me a solution,I will take it with all happiness and joy.

Please!!!Help me!!!I am already at my wit-end.I am kneeling down begging for God sake.Kindly, help me.

Though I am somehow shy to grant you request but I will grant it.I am still a bachelor and I have a 2 bedroom flat apartment to my self.If you can manage with me for now and whenever you are buoyant enough to have your own accommodation, you can then get one.

Hmmmm…..I am scared…Staying with a guy….Will I be safe?Tricia kept asking many questions in a row.

What about your girlfriends or fiancee?…Tricia asked Tony.

That is a sensitive question that I am shy of answering and if I answered you, you might end up not believing me.

Ok!!!

What is the answer…Tricia asked.

I am not into any relationship.I am free as the bird in the air…Tony replied.

Really!!!Someone is not being truthful hear.Someone is a saint here…Tricia bursted into laughter.

I don’t believe you…Tricia exclaimed.

Please!!!

Tricia believe me and lets leave it like that.Let’s reach a consensus because time is no longer on my side.My boss would have been boiling now because he has not seen me since break time was over.

Can we agree…Tony asked.

Ok!I don’t want to keep you waiting.I am in.I will bunk at your residence.

Thanks Tony.You are my angel.You are God’s sent….I am in…Tricia replied.

Just wait for me at the security post.I will introduce you to the Chief Security Officer and when it is closing time, I will come around tom pick you up.

Thanks Tony…Tricia was elevated.

Tony quickly dashed out and rushed back to the office to resume after the break.

Where have you been since….Tony’s boss asked.

Sir!!!

I have been having serious running stomach immediately I finish lunch and I have been in the toilet since.

Ok!!!

Are you alright now…Tony’s boss asked further.

Yes Sir!!!I am stable now…Tony replied his boss.

As Tony settled down on his seat, he was being totured with the agreement he entered to.While it was a mix-feeling, he kept encouraging himself that what he did was to help someone in need by giving her a room on her head for the mean-time but something keeps telling him and warning him to be careful.

Anyway, I will be careful,I promised myself….Tony was busy talking to himself.

As it got to 4pm–office closing hour, Tony started arranging his table to close for the day but the thought of spending the night with a stranger and a lady made him to have goose pimples.Since, he has consented to her request and as a man, he didnt want to break the promise he made with Tricia some few hour ago, he has to just keep his promise and face the reality on ground.

As Tricia noticed that it is already 4pm, her heart started skipping too because something kept telling her that what she consented to seems to be wrong and strange to her too but she consoled herself that what she consented to was due to the situation on ground that seems to be critical and require a critical solution at that moment.

Tricia heart kept skipping and pumping but she kept consoling herself.

Tony bid everybody in the office goodbye and he exited the office to face the reality he consented to.Immediately, Tricia saw Tony from afar,she stood up in preparation for her new found accomodation for the moment with his new landlord that call himself Tony.

They both greeted each other at the security post and moved out of the company’s gate.

Now, it is Tony and Tricia in a 2 bedroom flat apartment.

Tony–the landlord.
